Fiery sunset on the horizon... neighbour’s eucalyptus looks amazing silhouetted against it 😎

  • Hi @dannyjlowe, with your fuchsia try the scratch test.  Find a place that won't show too much and (gently) scratch the bark, if there is green underneath it's alive,  if brown & dry it's probably dead, but it might be worth hanging on longer it may sprout from the base.
Thanks @Allotment Boy, will give that a try :)

Dove, the light coloured part outside the garage is the drive, the darker grey the sliproad.  There was a rudy great 4 by 4 parked so close to the garage door, hubby couldn't get it open, when he put the notice on the windscreen, (it was very polite he put please do not obstruct garage, thank you) next time they parked even closer!!

Evening all, Just got back from Nanna Duty.  Had a lovely day with Gabriel while Jonah was at school.  It's turned really cold outside so I've been out and put some tender plants in the greenhouse and fleeced the rest. Enjoy your evening folks.

It was a nice day today, warm. I did more weeding and digging in the veg. garden and sowed the broad beans and perpetual spinach. I planted the 3 pinks that my son 2's children gave me for Grandmothers day and I mowed the grass.

Then I walked to the next hamlet to post DIL's birthday card. It was nearer than I thought and I passed a signed footpath which I will have to explore one day.

Isn’t it lovely exploring new areas of countryside @Busy-Lizzie? 😊

I mentioned the other day, that Moira's job finishes next week, after they offered her much poorer terms for an extension. Well today they contacted her, really keen that she stayed, but managed to offer her less than they had offered earlier in the week.
Is it any wonder that we have made such a mess of BREXIT?
Understandably she is quite upset, she loves the job, but they really are taking the mick.
