  • It would take much more than C.K. to put me off my dinner!
I think many posters misunderstood my OP - it was a mere passing comment purely a personal opinion of how C.K. strikes me.  On another site, years ago, joined in a gathering throng to give the lovely Rachel deThame her own show - and fully admit, not much based on her gardening expertise but when she did gain more air time - I didn't think she really cut it.  Altogether I think that all G.W.presenters have much to learn from The Beechgrove Garden - it's pitched at the same viewership and hit it better - they whistle through twice the content and the gardening is the star.

It's Thursday, so I'm rather looking forward to another evening with Carol. (7-8pm Cannel 5)

It's a shame there are only two episodes, I was looking forward to more!

Yes, a bit of a bummer really.
  • It feels like Channel 5 is testing the waters...fingers crossed it had good viewing figures and maybe they'll commission a longer series like they did with the four seasons previously.

The adverts were long enough to go off and do something more interesting .That usually means they're making money so there might be more programmes

I enjoyed it.  She explains things well and doesn't blind you with science so great for beginners and a good reminder for those of us who've been gardening for a while.

I did not know you could take root cuttings of anchusa so that's was very interesting.

Above all, I like her advice just to have a go.   Even if I only get one live plant from 5 cuttings it'll give a great sense of achievement and will have cost nothing except a bit of time.
