Had to laugh at her chasing the pheasant. My neighbours can witness me doing something very similar with pigeons 😁.

And me with squirrels!  I really enjoyed the programme tonight but unfortunately missed the last ten minutes due to SIL ringing.

I must say how much I am enjoying her Channel 5 shows. On GW, I've enjoyed watching her but I think she's excelled in her own domain. Her garden is an incredible transformation over four decades. Wow.

The programme also has a fantastic emphasis on gardening as opposed to profiling. The entire show is educational, which I much prefer to a tour of others' gardens or even large nurseries - which is slightly voyeuristic and doesn't particularly engage me.

I've found myself going off Monty in recent years. It may very well be a personal view to me but he comes across as pompous. For someone who admits that they are a TV presenter first, gardener second, I don't see much humility in him. I don't know whether that characteristic came before or after his jewellery enterprise but it's one that is far more befitting of a jeweller than a gardener. Thems the circles, you see.

"Frosty" is great. Charming, humble and sincere. I hate cats but I'll forgive them their presence given how entertaining Adam is.
  • My thoughts are the same Astraeus, gone off Monty this last two years.  His programs are an awful lot of not a lot at all.  No substance to them.

I don't like cats either, but you're right.

My gut feeling is there lining up Adam to replace Monty shortly

    Loving Carol Klein's show!
The last couple of episodes of GW have been much better too, been less of the repeated items from last year and more new content.  Agree Adam Frost does a great job as stand-in; I still enjoy Monty, but Frost is equally good in my view.
