Been pottering in the garden. Planted the last of the raspberry canes and rose Chandos Beauty. Headache is better but I have been a bit dizzy. Nothng compared to Covid though so I'm not complaining. I'm sure I'll be fine tomorrow.
Afternoon all. Another glorious day so I've been out front pruning roses, trees, shrubs and generally scraping up dead leaves and stems. So warm working in the sun but very chilly in the shade. Had a nice surprise when a friend from the next village walked by with her husband. We exchange emails but I haven't actually seen her since September so it was nice to have a natter over the garden fence.
LB & Ante - lovely spring pics from you both.
Yvie - sorry to hear the jab left you feeling a bit rough. I'm sure you'll be fine after a day or so.
Rubee - what a pain having no internet - hope it gets sorted soon. If you normally use an iPad or similar tablet can you not tether it to your phone to at least make typing a bit easier?
Hazel - a nice choice of shrubs there.
Chive are you gearing yourself up for the 8th March? I can't help but wonder why they haven't staggered school returns - even if they just did it over a few days. I think most of the headteachers around here would have preferred it.
Hope Rosie is OK.

TBird. I probably could , but I am not very conversant with techie stuff . We hope to see telephone engineer tomorrow. It’s seems as though it’s the cable that’s at fault.
Rosie is ok , but she has been with us .
Hopefully we will be on the net soo n . I hope all those who have had jabs are feeling better. Hello to everyone . See you soon.
@Rubee so glad Rosie is ok. Say hi from me. Hope you get the internet sorted soon. Have a lovely evening. Hope you're feeling ok @Yviestevie take care. Hi @Topbird good to see you. Sounds like you've done quite a bit in the garden today. Lovely that you could catch up with your friend too.
We've been for a lovely walk in the sunshine, did us both good to get some fresh air.
Hi folks, Feeling much better now. Still have a headache but the sickness has gone. I've done a bit more in the garden. Cleared all the dead vegetation off the greenhouse plants, given them a good watering and a bit more tidying. Had quite a productive day considering.
Hello everyone. I've had a marvellous day pottering in the garden, garage and greenhouse. Finished for the day now.
Chive, I hope that your Mum's covid test was negative and that she is all clear for her laser treatment on Monday.
SGL, it was gorgeous today after the frost went so I hope that you managed to get your walk in. Did you go to the duck pond?
Sorry that you have to be the bearer of sad news to your Mum Hazel. Its always difficult passing on that sort of information but I think in these strange times it is even sadder. Hope your Mum is OK.
Yvie, you'll get there in the end. Chin up Chuck. You and I were doing the same jobs in our greenhouses today.
PR, what an absolutely brilliant description of grape hyacinths! I will now think of liquorice allsorts (which I love) whenever I see them.
T'Bird, it is amazing what a boost you get speaking to people during these times. I know you have your OH to natter to so wasn't inferring he doesn't count I love it when my neighbour comes onto her drive with 1 year old Sadie. Sadie always gives me a huge grin and waves to me. She has a fair few teeth now of course which makes her grin all the more enchanting.
Ruby, got everything crossed here that your internet problem gets sorted this weekend.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
It was a real boost to see my friend LB. We didn't have much news to exchange because neither of us have done very much in the last few months - but we still managed a good natter! I bet you can't wait to meet up with your bestie and have a coffee with Jack.
SGL - your walk sounds lovely - that gives you a real lift too doesn't it?
Chive - in case I forget later - I do hope all goes well with your mum's laser treatment🙂
