Hi folks. No change on the SIL front no better but no worse. It seems to be taking an age for him to turn the corner.
On Nanna duty today Gabriel is at home and Jonah is at school.
Hope everyone is. Funnily enough I had fish pie for dinner last night.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • Morning @Yviestevie sorry to hear your SIL isn't feeling better, but so glad he's not worse either. Hopefully another day or so of the antibiotics and he will start to be on the mend.
Enjoy your Nanna time. Thinking of you and your family, take care.
  • Thank you Chive and Ruby.
Hope your eye gets better soon Hazel.
Glad your arm isn't too bad LB. Think I agree with Hazel and perhaps leave the knitting for another day
The sun is shining this morning and I've already been out and weeded the front borders. The sun is really warm, so we're off out for a walk soon.
Have a good day everyone, take care.
  • LB sorry to hear you had a bad night.  Rest today.  I hope you have a much better one tonight.  Yvie I very much hope he turns a corner soon.   But very pleased to know no worse.  Hazel sorry to hear you have a swollen eye.   Hope you can bathe it and the swelling goes down soon.  Lily I’m glad you slept through.  Chive I’m glad Nel has her cosy place.

Been down to 'sco for a quick shop. I decided to bite the bullet and go today because, as I said before, the forecast is not so clever for this weekend and next week. Sorry you have had eye problems Hazel and Yvie no news is good news possibly? It would be nice, as RosieBB said, to see your SIL turn a corner.

Hello everyone - it's a lovely sunny day here so I may go out and start doing a bit of tree work after lunch. Must be careful not to over do it and aggravate my arm.

Went to town this morning to collect OH's bike which was in for a bit of fettling. Popped into M&S which is just round the corner from there to get a bit of food for the next 3 or 4 days. The weather forecast isn't looking so good & it might be a bit difficult getting out and about on my usual shopping day. Picked up a Japanese meal which we're looking forward to trying tomorrow.

Sorry to hear your SIL is no better Yvie. Have just heard that my bestie's sister has gone down with the lurgy and she's not feeling at all well. She's strong and fit so, hopefully, she'll be up and about again soon.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Afternoon All, another week done & it’s gone very quickly so I must have enjoyed it 🤪
LB I hope the stiffness in your arm has improved today, good idea to get plenty of provisions in for the weekend just in case,
SGL I hope you’ve had a nice walk this afternoon, you’ve had a productive morning weeding,
Hazel Sorry to hear you’ve had issues with your eye, hope it’s improved from yesterday. My mum always used to bathe a sore eye in milk but I don’t know how effective that really is, I’d rather use it for a cuppa 😉
Yvie I hope that SIL starts to show signs of improvement soon, enjoy your time with the boys today they’ll keep you occupied,
Topbird I hope you don’t go overdoing it in the garden, Sorry to hear about your besties sister becoming unwell hope she recovers soon,

    Have a nice evening everyone.

Well done to all who had a go. Chive, the quizzes are just a bit of fun and nonsense so you don't need to apologise if you don't have time to get round to answering.
