  • Good Morning PurpleRose, That 1st cuppa of the day is the best. Hope the SM shop goes smoothly and you’ll be back home to enjoy some time in the garden and snooker to round the day off nicely. Waiting for the sun to break through it’s misty at the moment and I have some wet things to hang out. Have a lovely day.
  • Good Morning Hazel…just if I type quickly enough 😀 hope the trellis painting goes well it’s a tricky thing to do with all the angles but it will be a good job done. The mystery bulbs will be a nice surprise when the flower, I wonder what they’ll be! Have a lovely day.

Afternoon folks,  Lovely and sunny here today but cold in the house.  Boiler isn't working so no hot water or heating.  Good job I had a shower before getting into bed last night.  Spent ages on the phone waiting for British Gas (tried on line first but couldn't get appt until 10th March, unacceptable when we have a repair contract with them) finally got through and someone is coming this afternoon, mind you I had to play Hubby's heart condition card.
Feeling tired today but might sow some seeds later once the engineer has been.  Or I might fetch some chocolate and watch a movie.

  • Morning everyone.  Ante great to have seen your parents and such a welcome gift.  Lovely picture of beautiful blue tits.  LB I hope your resting after your tree lopping.  Take it steady.  Purple rose I’m just having my first cuppa of the day too.  Chive have you sunshine, it’s very bright here.  Although still cool.  It’s Lily tv day today.  One hung, one in, two yet to go.  Lily how are you.  I’m sorry to hear you had a bad reaction to your jab.  I very much hope you’re on the mend now.  I hope you’re having a good day Hazel.
  • Afternoon Yvie & RosieBB, good to see you yes the wet things are out and so is the sun, but there is a nip in the air today,
Yvie Sorry to hear you’re having boiler trouble thank goodness BG are able to come out today, hope it will be easily rectified. Under the circumstances I think chocolate & a movie is the way to go!
Apart from some unmentionables and getting Sunday dinner started not much else has taken place yet bit of a lazy day.

Afties all. I have had a lovely day today. Great being outside. Yvie, have I missed something? Hazel mentions your irises and what a gorgeous colour they are but I can't find them. Hazel, glad your OH has finished painting your trellis for you, bet you are itching to get it sited now.
Ruby, you have been busy in the garden too. I hope that you feel pleasantly tired now. Two mobile hot water bottles keeping you company too.

    Good evening all.

Chive, lights are charming. I'll look for something similar on ebay.

Hazel, have a nice evening. Relax with knitting.

I had wonderful day. Worked in the garden, planted almost all bulbs. I'll deal with dahlias next week. Everything is prepared for tomorrow, so tea and Poirot.

    Evening all,

Busy day in the garden. I painted the various parts of a bike shed and BIL put them together with a couple of helpers. As I was on a roll with the painting ;), I did the big shed as well.

Will be good to get the bikes out of there so you can actually get to anything you want without having to move a load of other stuff out of the way first. I'm thinking of replacing the shed with a greenhouse (or combi greenhouse-shed?) when it finally becomes completely dilapidated. It's mainly full of junk and all the useful stuff could be kept in a greenhouse anyway.
