Afties all. Yvie, I don't think you are alone - this from one who tried to change channels on the TV with my landline handset! Great news about your vaccine tomorrow. I had a look at that rose and it is certainly a beauty. That particular rose breeder has produced The Captain Tom rose and The England Rugby Rose

Goodafternoon everyone . I hope that you have had a good day . I am typing on my phone . Unfortunately , this morning our internet went down and we have to wait until the weekend before it gets sorted . I am so glad that I can use my phone . This morning we received a parcel that wasn’t ours . The address was obscured . Couldn’t get on the internet to find the website . Messaged a friend and she found the phone number for me . It was important because the parcel was a gift of fruit and I needed to be sure that it was delivered .The person I spoke to said they would contact the recipient. If they didn’t contact me , I could keep the fruit . I do hope I get contacted , the parcel is far too big for us . I am such a twonk , I hadn’t a clue that my phone could access the internet !!!!
Tee hee Ruby. I hope that you get your internet sorted by the weekend - the rugby is on! If the fruit isn't picked up you could always freeze it - depending on what the fruits are. Banana cake? Stewed apples? Squeezed orange juice?

Evening everyone, LB That is funny and I freely admit to having many of the C-Nile symptoms 🥴 I had to smile at the image of Lily sitting on your keyboard, a clear message being sent there 😼 Nel likes to photo bomb my zoom chats with the family, she just peers into the screen to see whose disturbing her, Hazel I always think a clean car helps with the MOT, want them to think it’s loved & looked after. Good luck for tomorrow, hope it flies through, Yvie Good days work in the garden, thanks for the info about the 60-65 vaccine appointments I hadn’t heard about that at all, good luck with yours tomorrow 🤞 Rubee What a pain your internet going off like that, it’s not always easy to use a phone for online as the screen and access are so different to a computer. Hope the owner of the fruit is grateful for your good deed today, SGL I hope you are feeling better now and recovering from the side effects. Hope you have a nice evening.
Rubee, I bet you are glad that you can get on the internet on your phone. We are now lost without it arent we? I think it is when we do not have the internet, that is when we realise how much we use it day to day.
At work we do a coffee run a couple of times a week. A colleague ordered them and I popped to the coffee shop to collect them. I know the man who works in there so I asked if I could have some coffee grounds for the garden. He said he would get some for me and to pop in after work. I said that a colleague might want some too which he said was no problem. After work we dropped into the coffee shop and he chuckled and said come this way. We each got half a sack full each to take away and he said if we ever need more just to let him know. I was really shocked at the amount we got. I thought we would get a little bag each.
We have been for a run tonight. We had to cut it short as I caught my foot on the side of a pot hole and just went over. I put my knee through my joggers and was covered in mud. It all went in slow motion. Luckily, Mr PurpleRose was with me so he peeled me off the ground and we came home. Thankfully, we were on a county lane so no one was around apart from a couple of horses in a field but I don't think they were too bothered.
PR, that is really interesting about the coffee grounds. I saw a programme a few years back about a young entrepreneur who used spent coffee grounds to grow exotic mushrooms. Are you using yours as a mulch? Sorry to hear about your tumble - and the torn joggers. If anyone had been around you could have just pretended you were doing a copy of the Vicar of Dibley when she leapt into a hole of water. So funny.

Hi all, not a bad day at work and now fiancé is cooking tea while I have a glass of wine.
Heard from daughter baby Thomas is now back to his birth weight, she is breastfeeding so very proud of her for doing so well. She is fine just rather tired. Can’t wait for June so I can visit properly. @PurpleRose you need to have more water with it! Falling over is no fun hope you are not hurt.
Pleased to hear more of you are getting the vaccine.
Heard from my aunt today she was thrilled with her flowers so that’s money well spent.
Something I read today “ it’s the little things and the little people that make you remember everything will be ok”
Evening Debs. Some happy news in your post. Little Thomas picking up his weight now. Hope he is sleeping well for his Mum and Dad. Lets hope that the time between now and June goes as quickly as last year seemed to go by. It must have been nice to hear from your Aunt too. Fully agree with the thoughts in your last sentence.

LB I have used some as a mulch, some in the compost heap and some sprinkled across the flower beds. I am trying something. I have heard that coffee grounds repell slugs and snails. The weather has been very mild and things are starting to awaken in the garden so I am going to sprinkle these coffee grounds regularly and see if it works. Nothing to loose if it doesnt.
I think i did need more water in the pot hole to recreate the Vicar of Dibley. She might have been proud of my dry, sporty reenactment though😂😂
Debs lovely news in your post. I hope June comes round quickly for you.
