@Allyblueeyes ... that rose appears to be no longer in commerce, sorry... roses like these come and go, often never to be seen again... You could try the Cocker family in Scotland but I doubt they'd still have it in their gardens..

That’s what I feared @Marlorena. I have emailed them .... one never knows. Thank you so much 👍🏼
...just to add to the red ideas theme... don't discount hardy Fuchsias.. the two in particular that provide the most red are Fuchsia magellanica var. gracilis and Fuchsia riccartonii... whilst the corollas are purple, the outer sepals are dark rich red and the overall effect is red... they can be treated like perennials by cutting right down in Spring, or half way depending on height requirements, they soon shoot back up to 4 or 5 feet, and flower from June onwards... actually May in some places..
@Allyblueeyes ..there's a Clematis 'Little Nell', would that be any good to you?...
Ahhh thank you @Marlorena, that’s very kind. I’ve already got a ‘Little Nell’ clematis which is shooting very well. I’ve just tied it into it’s support to protect a bit from the wind! I’m trying to get another but both Taylor’s and Thorncroft have none in stock ...
It was the rose I really wanted but I know it was a long shot. I could name one from Country Garden Roses but it wouldn’t be the same. Never mind. Thank you kindly x
Received my first product, an obelisk, from GAP today, and very impressed I was too. Although it was self assembly, every hole aligned perfectly for the screws and ended up with a good solid structure in no time.
Hello. I've been enjoying the thread but not contributing much, however was having a wander about today and delighted to see growth on all my new roses - mainly in pots for now! I've only posted photos of 4 of them below, in order, 'Mutabilis', 'Perle d'Or', 'Chartreuse de Parme' and 'Marie Pavie'. Getting quite excited for summer!
BTW @Marlorena I've also used Macplants a couple of times now and found them really good. Ironically, it probably costs less in postage for them to send to you than it does to me because although I'm also in Scotland, because we're classed as 'Highlands & Islands' we have to pay a supplement! Doesn't stop me using them though...
Im growing some bishops children dahlia seeds this year for in the garden. I’ve just seen that they’ve started poking out of the soil in their seed tray.
