@Marlorena My bare roots took more than the 5-7 days they promised. It was Julia Child. Just planted it out today. No more bareroots for this year (I keep saying this to myself).

..time is on your side @cooldoc2000 .. as in, there's not much time left fortunately.. but there's always potted ..  Julia Child is one fabulous rose, absolutely... [sorry...]

..lucky you @Nollie  well ahead as usual...  we look forward to those in a couple weeks..

Two DA firsts apparently. 'Constance Spry' their first pink, in the soil, and 'Chianti' their first red/purple in the tub...hopefully looking a lot more inviting in the next couple of months or so.

Does anybody grow The Fairy?  I bought it thinking it was a tiny ground cover rose but mine's now getting to 2-3ft h x w, which is not quite what I was expecting.

@Lizzie27 I have seen it at 3ft or more. Has a splayed look. Pic taken at the Kew gardens.

I'm glad I didn't buy any more roses! Wife wants me to make a paved seating area at the end of the garden. Which will be nice. We don't really have a good space for sitting out. But it's going to really eat into planting space and I'm going to have to move quite a few plants including Emily Bronte and LEH. Not sure where they're going to go! Might have to be in pots.
You know the answer  :D A seating area, planting and a path... no place for the lawn.

    Haha - That’s AN answer...MY answer...not hers though!

Hopefully one day we’ll move to somewhere with a larger garden. In fact my lottery win dream would be to buy a load of land, build a modest house with a big walled garden and then just turn the rest to forest, meadows and ponds. Ahhh I can dream 😌
