It's the blue pot ruling it out for me.  I was tempted but no. I wonder what "Best for..." label it will get?

Sorry @Marlorena, sheer luck I saw it while trawling through again to see which roses to spend my voucher on. I thought I'd better do it tonight before all the Nye B orders go in tomorrow

..Hi Desi, I just noticed your post... you can spread the coffee grounds all over.. I know somebody who does that, the worms drag it down..  I only use spent tea on the roses.. it supplies small amounts of NPK, and apparently the science behind it says that when taken up by the rose, it increases amounts of a substance that is offputting to aphids when they feed on roses..
All I've noticed on roses treated is that they have fewer aphids, but they are not totally without them..   it does no harm, and saves throwing away something useful..

  • @Marlorena .. thanks!! I get through gallons of tea so would be good to have something useful to do with the remains!

Ohh I can’t justify it. Even though I want too. Too similar to VB...as I’ve said at least a hundred times already!
The buds are different and flower form is different. Why am I trying to justify 😊

Hope your jab goes well with little in the way of side effects @Marlorena . Mine (Oxford AZ) last week was problem free, just a not-very sore arm for 3 days.
Well I resisted NB  and actually placed an order, a lot was out of stock but I think Englands Rose and Scarborough Fair are still what I would have chosen. The discount code REFRESH is still giving 10% off so the above was almost covered by a lovely Birthday giftcard. Good return I think

same feeling here. No scent, blooms are small, another yellow. Not for me either. I am sure people wouldn't even bother if not for the name tag of 'Austin'.

So I've been waiting since autumn to get Gabriel Oak but thought I'd wait for the new varieties just incase no rush . Now the new variety is released and looks like the only one, Gabriel Oak sold out today or yesterday  :'(  gutted will I been able to find it else where ? wait another year - later in the year or find it at a garden centre .

I'm sorry that happened @Perki . Availability of GO disappeared yesterday or I would have ordered it then, Lady of Shalott was about 5th choice behind no stock items. I must hope for DA's sake that they will be able to offer these roses as potted versions in the summer but perhaps last year really did effect their ability to develop stock severely.

Oh that’s making me panic, do you think they won’t bother with a 15% code since they’ve left the 10% running?

Should I order now before they go out of stock or increase prices?
