    All my roses seem to be budding, does this mean they are no longer dormant and cannot now be moved and replanted without doing harm to the roots.

    @JessicaS if you are going to have a rose bed why not have a four poster!

    @cooldoc2000 Haha I'd love one - sadly so would the 5 dogs! They'd be straight in slurping ;)  I'll look at one of the wooden pond things in the future I think actually, a nice triangle raised one tucked in that corner.

    @K67 Veg duvet going on the bed with wisteria & rampant climbing rose canopy at the back and some nice sweet pea curtains ;) My 'rhapsody in Blue' is on one side for a nightstand, you could balance a cuppa on the thorns ;)

    @JessicaS Princess and the Peas?

    With all the vegetation going around, will it not make the centre shady?

    @Fire I was more joking about curtains and canopy, I pruned the Rose back so its not encroaching on the top (I dont want it over there, its got more than enough rambling space as is and "bit" the builder when he got too close ;) ) so its just on the back against the fence in the little gap, and wisteria is just on the back couple of segments as its feet are about a metre away and it spreads along fence.  Its the first year ive had that bed so I'll be playing to see what works.  Last summer was absolutely scorching in that corner, too hot, I had to water twice a day!

    I do love sweet peas though, will have a play for where to best put those for companion planting. Bed has hooks at the sides so I can string across to support plants if I want to, so I might plant them at the back.  Im looking forward to a play!

    @newbie77 Thats gorgeous actually.... It popped up on google when I searched saying that they have a lack of stock so not many sales to other garden centres etc - Im guessing they have had a bumper sales year like a lot of gardening places?
