Oh @Yviestevie, what a worry for you all. I think SIL is probably more comfortable at home though and if they don't think he needs to go to hospital it is possibly a good sign. I'm sure if he really needs to go in they will find a bed for him.

    Hello all.

An English couple came this morning as they had asked the local English website if anyone had packing boxes as they are moving house, so I answered. They took a load of boxes that were cluttering up the garage, even though flat packed. That's the third batch gone.

Tomorrow the lovely couple who helped load the skip and did the cleaning after the removal men are coming to help put stuff in the garage loft. The electrician/plumber came last night. He is quite booked up but he works with the English/French renovation company who will be doing the garage. Said he would squeeze in the kitchen dishwasher, needs plumbing alterations, in the kitchen, when he has a spare 3 hours. I need to buy a 45cm dishwasher.

I am too, @Yviestevie. Such a worry for you. Fingers crossed for SIL.

Sounds like you're getting organised @Busy-Lizzie. I've promised my daughter a dishwasher for her new house, goodness knows why as it's only for her but it's something she's always wanted and there's space/plumbing already.

Managed to get to the beach but minus Possum who is on one of those moods.   Not the beach we were headed for as someone is digging up the road so a new one for us and, as well as the remains of 2 German gun bunkers on the edge of the dunes we found that at low tide it has an ancient, walled structure built out over the rocks, presumably to retain water and make some kind of early mussel or oyster farm.   Just shallow pools now and busy with barnacle geese.

I hope SIL gets sorted out soon @Yviestevie.  Stressful for all concerned and traumatic for Merrie.

I went to an amazing shop in a large village about 15 mins drive away this afternoon and bought a slim dishwasher in the sales. It started off like a small supermarket, food first, then cleaning products then opened up into an enormous store with everything you need for house and garden, plumbing stuff, ironmongery, paint, garden equipment, seeds, crockery, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, cookers etc.

The dishwasher will be delivered, free of charge, next week.

    Evening all
Thanks @Hostafan1 he has had a lovely day,  socially distanced visited his mum and sister.  Planted bulbs at his father's grave and came home and relaxed, he's not hungry so I have the night off cooking.

@D0rdogne_Damsel you have green shoots!! How exciting!!! 😁

Sending big hugs and best wishes @Yviestevie x
