I hope they gave you some decent painkillers @Hostafan1, must have hurt like stink.
He injected the base of my finger twice to numb it. That hurt more than the sledgehammer. Given that he had to lift the "flap" to take a couple od pics, Im glad ir was numb
sorry avout typos, can't type without my index dfinger
Well I know what I would do now, @Hostafan1, but you can't, and that is have a good stiff drink.
I'm having a lovely cup of de caff tea
Bless you ... if it’s any help I’ve found that with a nasty hand injury its best to try to sleep on my back with my hand up on the pillow next to my head. That way it doesn’t throb quite as much as if it’s down by your side, and you’re not as likely to roll onto it. 😱😭

Clearly not safe to be let out on your own @Hostafan1! Be good and keep all digits safe till checked over.
Am back, 10 minutes after curfew, from my chat with patchwork pals. We even got a bit of admin done for the club. They seem to think another strict lockdown is inevitable. One of them is a jab doubter and also believes the French govt line on the Astra Zeneca jab - not for over 65s, less effective for other ages. Told her it's a lot of political tosh. Mind you, she doesn't believe the flu jab does any good either. T'other pair will have whichever as soon as they can which surprised her.
Impressive stuff @chicky - all for veggies or some fruit and cut flowers too?
No Saharan sand here @Busy-Lizzie but the wind has dropped at last. Cool and grey tomorrow am but then bright, sunny and warm from early afternoon on.

Ooh @Hostafan1, made me squirm in my seat reading your post (s). Hope it doesn't throb too much.
I am looking very windswept and interesting and definitely have rosy cheeks from all the wind, another good day in the garden, this time at CdeG. At least there I feel as if I have 'finished' it after a days work, I managed to clear all the beds and deadhead all the hydrangeas. Lots of bulbs and green shoots poking through, all very encouraging, although I have got a Ceanothus getting a bit carried away with itself, it might have to be moved after it's flowered before it takes over.
Great to see everyone (more or less) is getting a chance to get outside and 'do' things. Enjoying following the photos of all the projects, @Busy-Lizzie and @chicky, all very exciting. Just what we need after a long hard winter.
Have a good evening all.

ooh nooo @Hostafan1.....that sounds very painful. Take it easy for the next few days 😟
Thanks to all who liked our new veg patch - it has certainly kept us busy whilst we “stay at home”. @Obelixx it is mostly for veg, but there are already 8 established fruit trees (apple/pear/plum) and some raspberry canes and a couple of blueberry bushes. I am negotiating with Mr C on the cutting patch (I quote “which bit of vegetable garden don’t you understand?”). I have always sneaked sweetpeas in there (emphasis on the last syllable) - in fact he made me a great frame for them to grow up, so there is hope. Maybe I should start with edible flowers 🤣🤣🤣
I tried that - he reckons the profusion of flowers in my flower garden (adjacent) are enough to do the trick. To be fair, if he wanted to plant veg in my flower garden I’d object ..... he’s allowed space for a few cannas and that’s it 🤣. He’s worried I will make a flowery land grab and all veg would be squeezed out.
I should add for clarity that this is all very much banter and in jest .....he’s not a monster, honest. But he does like a bit of a tease 😈

I thought something must be up when I saw 48 postings - oh dear Hosta - that will be black and blue tomorrow.
I am vexed that I missed a fine day today but...came home to find frogspawn in the pond! Just the one clump so far - I’m sure there will be more 😃
