It didn't rain nearly as hard as the forecast said it would, on the biodiversity walk at Seed Savers this morning.  It was soggy but fascinating.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

@B3 are the stems red? Are they ribbed like chard stems in their second year?

RTBC today ... a real human being called Jordan on the other end of the phone line at Saga Insurance, being creative about shuffling a No Claims Bonus around and sorting out a muddle I'd got into by doing things ar*e about face.  He's a knight in shining armour ... and I told him so ... and he got 10/10 in the customer satisfaction survey afterwards  B)

Good to read that you had great service.  At the same time it is sad that it should be such a surprise that it makes it noteworthy.

I've decided that this strong wind is going to blow away the bad weather and suck in the summer behind it. I don't care what the weather forecasters say.😎

I am seeing 2 friends today, one I haven't seen for 18months she's looks After her dad who has been shielding. The other since before the last lockdown, who has just moved house, popping into the supermarket where my oldest daughter works have only seen her once since my birthday last October, because she lives in Kent. Doing this because I am actually visiting my youngest son, that I am carer for. This week,Monday I had a meal out with 5 friends, one I saw for lockdown walks with the dogs because she lives next door, the others I hadn't seen for 18 months

How lovely @Nanny Beach to be meeting up with your friends again.  My diary is beginning to fill with meeting people for coffees and catch ups.  It would be nice if it was all happening outside in the sunshine though.

I've just walked down to the lake and there are dozens of swallows / housemartins whizzing over the surface.
