I moved an orchid which had been just ticking over and doing nothing much. It was in the way so it was given a temporary home.
I kid you not! Within two days it went wheeee!!!!, and stretched out and up and sprouted a new bit in a leaf axil.
A week on it's still growing. They are definitely sulkers who know exactly what they want.
Unfortunately, it is happy on a south facing windowsill. Not a good place for it in the summer😒
    In London. Keen but lazy.

A bit of nostalgia for you on this Christmas Eve

I was a member of the Tufty Club and had a Sindy doll. I can still remember receiving her one Christmas morning 😊.

Home Reports seem so logical it's crazy to me that they haven't been introduced in the rest of the UK.  The potential purchasers of my niece's house claimed that their surveyor had listed at least £10k of work required to 'bring the house up to standard'.  If that was the real reason why did they leave it so close to the exchange date before saying anything.  The surveyor was apparently a friend of the family, the survey had been done for weeks, and no mention of any issues and no discussion about the price.  The intent was clearly intended to force the price reduction, but it didn't work.

It's insanity @KT53. Glad your niece didn't fall for it. I hope it goes well with the new offer/buyer. The HRs stop all of that.
It often helps to create a good impression when buying.  When we bought our first house [before home reports]  there was another interested party, and she'd offered slightly more than us. The vendor contacted us through the solicitor, and said she'd like the 'nice young couple' [ :D ] to have it, and if we matched her offer, it was ours. Job done. I was pregnant at the time so maybe she just took pity on us!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
