Good morning all. Frosty here but dry, I must remember to wrap up warm when I go for my walk with sister later, last week I froze. That scarf of yours would be perfect LB.
Work is still a hotbed of gossip and speculation, new company take over on 1st February so we should know more then.

Morning Debs. Yes, make sure you have your thermals on today. Its quite deceptive here as the sun is shining and the sky is blue but I've been out and it is definitely not warm.

Hi Hazel ,OH is very pleased with his new shoes . He is wearing them now .
OH has had his jab today . When we went on Tuesday they didn’t want him to have the vaccine they were using .An appointment was made for today for him .   Even after the jab we have to stay indoors until three weeks after the second jab .

Hello Hazel. Suddenly my snowdrops are all starting to show. Magical. Ruby, pleased to hear that your OH has had his first jab now. Chey is having his today. I've got to pop to the post box with a birthday card today. Thank goodness its not raining!

Morning - a cold and frosty start but a low sun is now shining brightly which
    • is lovely, bright and cheerful BUT
    • is also showing up every last speck of dust, fine cobweb and window smear😬.
I am doing my very best to ignore the latter and considering having an hour outside to weed down the back of the garden where it's both sheltered and sunny. Can only do things I can reach from terra firma as the soil is far too wet to walk on.

Hazel - I finished all the 'touching up' painting but am seriously considering doing some more. Trouble is, once you start you sort of have to keep going don't you?

LB - lovely scarf! That's a very effective pattern.

Rubee - good to hear you've both had your jabs - have you been given dates for the second one yet?

SGL - hope it's not too long before you and your OH can get some protection and you can relax a bit about getting out.

I also have problems with films that go backwards and forwards in time unless it's very obvious which time frame you're in at any one time. Watched the film 'Red Joan' last night (Judi Dench). That goes backwards and forwards but between the modern life of an 80 year old and her 20 something past in the 30's and 40's so it was nice and easy to follow.

Hope you all have a good day. Sun is now starting to go round so the window smears are disappearing😁
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Rubee, glad your OH has now had his vaccine. We won't be able to go out for awhile after OH has had his 2nd one either. I'm hoping he hears about his soon, being in the extremely vunerable group.
The area Chey lives in must be way ahead with the vaccine if he is having his today.
Hazel, good that you've finished your book, hope you enjoy the next one. Which one will you read next?
The sun is shining now, but still felt rather chilly when I popped out to the bins.
Rosie, Debs, hope you both enjoy your walks today.
LB, have had another look at your quiz.......question number 2 is bugging me, I just can't remember the bird.....and I'm sure I should 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️  Have answered a few though. Enjoy your walk too.

  • Oops, hello Topbird, you weren't there just now, good to see you. Sounds like you've been very busy.

A neighbours husband has just got back from having his vaccine. Was told he'll have his 2nd vaccine in 12 weeks, but no date given as yet. He had the Pfizer jab.  Still think 12 weeks is rather a long time, when they had previously said 3 weeks in between 🤷‍♀️ Especially as on the news the other day they are now saying the protection rate is around 34% and  not 98% as first mentioned.
    Very worrying.

We haven’t been given a date for the next jab TBird. But three months was mentioned .

SGL, I think Chey is getting his vaccine because he is another vulnerable person with major health issues so I think he falls into that category and it is good to see that where he is has the ability to see he gets his jab as early as today. I enjoyed my walk to the post box, its just lovely to get out in the fresh air. Might venture out into the garden after lunch.
