That sun rise is beautiful. It sometimes stops you in your tracks with the colours.
Hopefully Chive your test is negative.
SGL I have heard a few commenting that sleep patterns have changed over the last year. Wonder if it is something to do with Covid - the constant news, worry, change which is affecting us. Glad you managed a good sleep last night.
Another beautiful day here. Sunny but cold and very very frosty. Currently it is -2 . I like winter days like these. If all winter had this weather, I would never have any objections to the season.
Chive and LB most of the snow has gone . Looking at the weather map ,I think we are in for quite a lot later on today . That pic is glorious Lily . Chive, fingers crossed for a negative result .Good morning Purple Rose -2 here also .
Lots more snow here it’s still coming down in big flakes. Glad I got lots of bird food in yesterday, 2 tubs of premium fat balls and a 3kgs of suet pellets with mealworms plus 2kgs sunflower hearts should see my feathered friends through this lot.
Lovely picture Lily, hope all goes well with rest Chive, we do them twice a week too while we are testing others at work. Sorry to hear people not sleeping well but it’s not to be wondered at is it the way things are.
Thank you 😊 I’m getting used to doing them now, I thought you was too Debs it’s not the nicest experience is it but it does give a quick result, Good Morning PurpleRose, yes a bright crisp morning is a welcome sight against the drab grey wet weather we’ve seen. Rubee Hope it doesn’t cause you any problems later on, SGL I’m pleased you slept well, hopefully sleep patterns will return to normal but meanwhile it’s lovely if you get a decent nights rest, LB Your companion Robby sounds like he was escorting you safely back indoors 🙂 Hazel Sorry you had a rotten night take it easy today, I’m going to get some compost this week so I can sow some seeds, hearing about your plants has kick started me into action 🌱
Morning PurpleRose. I agree with you in really liking a cold, frosty dry day - with a blue sky preferably but its a sort of damp cold here today. Not nice. Debs, you have just reminded me that I need to make sure my bird food stocks are replenished this week before the Big Garden Bird Watch next weekend. SGL, I am very jealous of your snow! Was talking to handy brother on the phone earlier and he is really pleased to have TWO football matches on TV today. He is finding some days tedious. I've delivered the gift - left it on the doorstep then spoke to her Dad when he answered the door. Told him to have a good day. Now I think I will put the kettle on. Anyone for tea?
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
LB and Hazel take it easy today you two. Chive It’s Lily’s tv day today but I’m enjoying a up of tea. Lily I hope you will both soon have your vaccinations. Debs I’m having a fairly quiet day today too.
Good idea to get the bird feeders stocked up. Mine are all towards the bottom end of the garden but it looks rather slippery so I am going to wait until the sun moves round a bit before topping up. I should imagine the feeders have been well used as I have noticed a very busy garden yesterday and this morning.
SGL keep us updated on the snow situation. We have not had any yet this winter apart from some hail that soon melted and the odd sleety shower. We are on the coast so it can be rare to get snow that sticks.
Oh Yes please LB 😊 ☕️ Morning Rosie, I hope you don’t have too much to do. I have some wet things currently hanging limp on the airer outside, most likely they’ll come in just the same later on. SGL How wonderful! enjoy watching the snow ❄️ PurpleRose my son gave me these seeds for Christmas, looking at the sowing times the Candytuft will be first to get going with, any advice will be welcome I’m still a novice 😌
Hazel that Pittosporum is a lovely neat shrub does it naturally grow that way or have you kept it clipped?

Yes, I'm sure your right Purplerose, defiantly been all over the place for some months now.
Thank you everyone, the sky looked truly amazing.

What are you planning on planting Chive?
