Morning SGL. I was planning a shopping trip this morning but I'll wait and see if there is a bit of a thaw later. Its definitely lighter in the mornings now which is good to see.
Ante and Chive, enjoy school today.

Afternnon! Estate agents and roofer have been made aware that almost half my bedroom ceiling is now permanently damp. This can't go on!

Hi all, jab was quick and easy and I stayed calm throughout so pleased with myself. Thanks for all the support. Planning a lazy afternoon on the sofa.
Well done with bird bath SB, I try to keep mine clear but it’s tricky in this weather.
Chey they need to sort that. Very unhealthy.

    Afternoon😎

Been to SM this morning. The country roads were still quite snowy and icy where the sun hadn't reached. Missed my old 4 x 4 today!

Well done on getting your jab Debs. You'll know it wasn't so bad for the second one.

Hazel - I've never tried it but apparently a couple of light weight floating balls (eg table tennis ball) can help to keep at least some of a bird bath free of ice. They move in even a slight breeze which, in turn moves the surface of the water and stops it freezing. Don't suppose it works if it gets very cold though....

Good luck with the roof Chey🙂 Have you been computer gamed out this last year?
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Afternoon all. Chey, I'm glad you have contacted them - again! They are really slacking in getting that roof sorted. If I recall, the roofer said that the roof was dreadful (words to that effect) and that you needed a completely new roof never mind a patch-up job. Well done Debs

Hazel my birdbaths are frozen most mornings lately. You have to be quite careful with the boiling water treatment though if your birdbaths are stone as the thermal shock can crack the bath. I never thought about small balls in the birdbath but I used to float a plastic football in my pond and it worked quite well.
