Good Morning SGL, LB & Rubee and all to follow, its looking chilly outside with a hard frost,
SGL I hope you were able to get back to sleep after the hot chocolate drink,
Rubee I hope you and OH are feeling well after your first vaccines. I’m pleased to see that your OH new shoes have worked out for him,
LB Your scarf looks fabulous perfect for a chilly outing, but maybe not today by the sounds of your weather,
Hope you all have a good day ahead.

Morning Chive. I hope that you have a restful weekend after your fraught week. This little tale may make you smile. A little earlier Lily was hovering by her cat flap, obviously in need of the toilet. Soft me opens the door for her and she hesitates for a few moments when she sees her new white world. A little verbal encouragement from me and she tiptoes forth. I leave the door ajar as I potter in the kitchen and I keep checking the garden to see if I can see her. After a few looks I cannot see any sign of her which is worrying then I look into the sitting room and see her sitting on the arm of the couch making her silent miaow faces at me. It has to have been the fastest pee in the west!

  • Morning everyone, a very frosty one this morning.
I'm having a very lazy day today, eventually got to sleep, but it must have been almost 4 o'clock.
LB, your weather sounds awful, think a day for either knitting or reading a book. Stay warm and cosy.
Ruby hope you and your OH don't have achy arms after your injections. Take care.
Chive hope you have a restful weekend after a busy week at work.
Have a 'sco delivery this afternoon, that's the highlight of the weekend 😂
Need another cup of tea, see you later everyone, happy Saturday.

  • Haha, LB, Lily cat obviously wanted to be cosy and warm today. 🤣🤣 No playing in the snow today 🐾🐾

Morning LB that did make me smile, we really are soft when it comes to our furry friends 😊
Morning SGL Have a nice relaxing day, hope there will be a treat or two amongst the SM delivery later.
I hope Debs gets on ok with her jab today, pleased to see Chey had his done.
I’m on my 2nd cuppa, taking things very easy so far.

Jab is on Monday trying not to think about it, I have a real phobia and last time I had a blood test I had a panic attack and passed out which is ridiculous I know at my age. I can’t even watch injections on tv or hear people talking about them. I have also realised that fiancé won’t be able to come in with me so feeling very stressed. I hope that the knowledge that I am doing the right thing for other people will help me get through it.
Still thick snow here so putting on my walking boots for a trip to supermarket then fiancé will pick me up with the shopping. Saves him hanging around as they only want one shopper per family if possible.

Morning Debs Oh sorry I thought it was today, maybe you could have something of his with you a scarf or gloves to act as a comforter. Mind how you go in the snow, hope the SM trip goes well today.
  • Good morning all. It is not quite afternoon as I type.

We woke up to a very hard frost this morning. I had a clue as just after I woke up, I heard the gritter lorry coming up out street. I have been as far as the front door and it is a lovely crisp day.

We are going for a run this afternoon. I hope it isnt too slippy.

I think Lily did the right thing not hanging around in the cold. I am a big softie when it comes to our furry companions. I remember years ago my little dog has his legs crossed but would not go out in the rain for a wee so I put his lead on and put an umbrella over him and took him out of the back door so he could have his desperate wee. I am stood there getting wet through. I thought what am I doing here? 😂😂 I had a happy pooch though.

Hi folks,  Been out in the garden moving pots and creating a space for a new storage box we have had delivered for all the garden cushions etc.  Would have quite liked to carry on a do a bit of cutting back but there was ice everywhere and despite the sun it was freezing cold.
Had a horrible day on the roads yesterday.  Drove over to Secondborn's and the main roads near Redditch hadn't been gritted.  Consequently there was a four car pile up about 200 yards in front of me.  Cars were driving so fast despite the hazardous conditions.  It was a slow drive to school down the narrow lanes with the boys.  To top it all off just after I started to drive home the snow came down in bucketfuls and the roads were white over in minutes.  I was so glad to get home.  Consequently I'm not going anywhere today.
Glad to see that you are all getting your jabs.  It will be a long time till I get mine, Hubby will be first.
Debbs maybe you should keep your eyes shut and wear some headphones with a favourite tune playing.  Perhaps put some relaxing oil on your facemask too.
    Take care everyone.
