Debs, try the deep breathing - in through the nose and out through the mouth before you go in. Keep your eyes closed and just concentrate on the breathing. I think Yvie's suggestions are lovely too. You are very brave to go ahead. The alternative, if you were to fall seriously ill or pass anything on to your loved ones does not bear thinking about. Purple Rose, that is a lovely story about your little pooch. Yvie that is one scary tale about your driving and the road conditions yesterday.
My snow is slowly disappearing now and there is a tiny bit of sunshine out there. It needn't try to kid me though as I've seen the temperature! I've made some leek and bacon soup for lunch. A comforting meal on a winter's day.

Debs, I have a phobia of needles too but honestly I genuinely barely noticed it, I was chatting to the nurse the whole time and it was over quick as a flash, then I was whisked off to the waiting room.

Here is what I woke up to!

Well I got another surprise today. I had ordered some plants on Friday and some arrived in the post today - a dozen Crocosmia Lucifer and a dozen Liatris Violet Blazing Star. They were very healthy looking large corms so I decided to get them all potted in 8 large pots I had in the garage and then I placed them into the greenhouse. It was a very cold job and I was glad to get back into the warm house. Hazel, good news about your OH and his jab. My sister was telling me today that my nephew, who works in a big hospital in Liverpool has had a jab and a niece in law who works with difficult families has had hers. They are steadily rolling out.

Hazel, I think I will plant them in groups of three - basically straight out of the pots I've got them in now. Some in the front garden and some in the back.
