Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
  • Morning everyone,
Its extremely foggy and frosty here this morning.
Woke up a couple of times during the night, but then slept through till 8.30. Feeling a muzzy at the moment. Watching the news while having a cup of tea.
These days are flying by aren't they LB, Christmas was two weeks ago already. Now the decorations are down, it seems ages ago 😕
Better get a wriggle on and get dressed.
Have a good day everyone TTFN

    Morning SGL & Hazel,
Ante that is a funny clip, he does a very good wood pigeon and the British love of washing lines is so true 😀 you can’t beat airing your wet things and getting them dry all in the same day 🙌
SGL Hope both you and Hazel have lost your muzzy head feelings,
Finished off my flat things, dinner is on, it’s time for a cuppa.

Afternoon. Woke to a sunny winter wonderland (thick frost - not snow) but it has all gone now. At least I can get the bin open now....

Busy making holiday plans but mainly for next year. This year is still too difficult to call. Anybody going to watch the Spurs match?

Hazel hazel how interesting those notes will be.  I hope it gives you lovely memories.  LB a milder day today here too.  The snow has almost gone leaving icy patches. Topbird you are most welcome.    Chive I’ve just finished Lily’s tv and hanging the damp clothes.  I’m watching a programme about the young Camilla, it’s quite interesting.  Ante home made bread lovely.  Lily it does seem a while ago.

Just watched the Crawley game. I would have said the Leeds game, but they didn't turn up.
Just hope Pernicious, Winks and Alli can do it for Spurs...COYS....

  • Good afternoon.

I woke during the night, feeling as though I had slept for hours and hours, I was suprised it was only 2.30am. I did manage to go back to sleep again and woke at around 8am. I laid in bed, it was so warm and read my book for an hour.

I went to bed to frost on top of frost as it has not thawed through the day. It was white everywhere. This morning I was shocked to se e all had melted apart from the water in the gutters by the road.

Been to Lidls this morning for my weekly food shop. It was not very busy which I was pleased about. I just need to pop to Sainsbury's tomorrow after work for jam (because I forgot it in Lidls) and loose leaf tea.

I dont have a dedicated veg patch in the garden, i saw something online and the lady whose garden it was had flowers all over and she pointed out her Broccoli she was growing and other things in the flower bed. I must have missed something here as I have never seen this or heard of anyone doing this but I think it's a great idea. It has got my creativeness flowing for this year. All my plans so far have been modified now 🧐

@PurpleRose - rainbow chard (great in stir fries) with its multi coloured stems looks quite pretty growing in an ornamental border and I use both thyme and chives as edging plants. The lilac pom pom flowers of the chives are very pretty and, if you cut them back hard after flowering, you often get a second bloom.

I always throw some dill seeds around the border. The tall feathery see through foliage is lovely, the umbellifer flowers  very pretty and I like eating dill - win, win and win again😁

    Evening all.
PurpleRose, I'm glad that everything went smoothly at Lidl. You remind me that I also must buy tea. I have only few tea bags of Earl Grey left.

It's blizzard here. If continue like this, tomorrow will be chaos on the roads. It's Poirot night again.
