Chive the sonic boom from the fighter jets must have been rather loud.  It’s good we have our Forces.  LB it’s good you could have a chat whilst out it certainly gives you a lift.  Hazel I’m quite a quick dipper when it comes to biscuits.   LB cute to see cat paws in the snow.

    Afternoon All,
Hazel Sorry I meant to say earlier I’m sad to hear your daughter is having to take her dog to the vet, it’s very hard when they’ve been a part of your life for so long,
Rubee You’ve done well with the answers there,
Yvie Sorry to hear Gabriel now has the chicken pox, hope your headache clears soon,
Rosie I like your quick dipper approach, less risk of losing half your biscuit then 😉

Afternoon all - it's turned into another grey and damp day. May get some sleety snow tomorrow - lovely!

Exciting trip out today (not!) to the SM. It was very quiet and everybody was being very good about shopping alone, wearing masks etc. Had been getting quite cross at the way some people had become quite complacent about everything. Think the message has been getting across this week.

LB - you asked about our holiday plans. Yes I did mean next year - 2022. We are hoping we might get back to Germany or Austria this year but can't really see it being before autumn.

Thanks for posting the quiz LB - don't know many but let's have a go:

    2 Wildebeest
    3 Giraffe
    5 Proboscis?
    7 Barbary Apes
    11 Two?
    17 Squirrels
    18 Elvers
    19 Six?
    20 Jenny
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Hazel Oh my goodness how awful I do hope your daughter is ok, it is a stressful situation. You could do without any boiler issues, I hope this is resolved quickly.

  • I hope that your daughter is ok Songbird. Sounds like she has a lot of stress in her life at the moment. So sad when it comes to the time to say goodbye to our beloved pets. They do become a big part of your life/family and such wonderful companions.

It always seems that boilers problems occur around Christmas and into January. I hope that it is a cheap easy fix for you.

Rosie, I think that is a good strategy when biscuit dunking. I am often tempted for that longer dunk or just one more and it breaks into my tea. You do need to judge it depending on the biscuit as some will take more than others. I always seem to push the dunking boundaries rather than erring on the side of caution 🤣🤣

Purple Rose, you would then have to use a spoon to drink /eat your tea.☺️
