Yes in the glass house. @Hostafan1
Ruddy awful things, they work on sparrows.
My mother had them  (sticky traps) in her green house and one day a poor little sparrow got caught. Hell of a job to separate.  I was going to say sticks in my mind, pun intended.
Bugs and flies we don't like so it goes without saying good job. But to extricate a little bird with delicate feathers and skin not nice. Best left to a veterinarian and staff skills.

Surely fines should be relative to one's ability to pay?
Surely fines should be set slightly over one's ability to pay ?  Otherwise it has little impact on the miscreant whether it be £50 ( non footballer ) or £4 million (footballer, banker or WHY )
Unlikely tho that a court would hand down a fine for £4 million simply to make a point.
Apart from that, where exactly do these "fines" end up ( assuming at least some of them are actually paid ) - general govt. or divided between police, NHS, local councils ?
I'd suggest a fine should equate to multiples of an hour / day / month / year's income depending upon severity.

Taken to it's logical conclusion that would mean that the scumbags who have never done a day's work in their life would never be fined for thieving / drug offences etc, etc as they have no income.

Isn't that how community service works though? You pay your fine through hourly work and everyone's hour is worth the same amount.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Do those yellow sticky traps work on whitefly?
Soapy water is the best thing for aphids in my limited experience. Sticky traps have been catching hundreds of fungus gnats in the house for me over the winter but I'd never use them outside or in the greenhouse. We've had a baby spider hatch in the kitchen now though so I've moved some of them to various plants and they seem to be keeping on top of any outbreaks now.

Boiler has gone wrong, had new part, was incredibly lucky the guy we use was in the next road, popped round, switched on, worked beautifully for a couple of minutes, showing fault code flashing light, and min Easty Beasty showing for Sunday!!!

Numan ads. Are they meant to aggravate or is it just me?

Maybe they're Sky only ads - thinking about it, I've only seen them  plaguing their football broadcasts.
They cover 'men's' issues  - but it's not their subject matter per se, just how 'in your face' they are.

  • Nope ... not seen those @steveTu ... but having in the past been married to someone involved very much in the amateur game at least, I know that things like ‘men’s issues’ often need to be not only ‘in your face’ but shouted through a megaphone 📣 🙄
