Good morning everyone. Sunny here and we are expecting 31.  I’m sue I’m ready for that after a few cool days and nights. Im taking the opportunity to get the washing done before the predicted wet weather for the rest of the week. 🙄

Wonky Ilove your cat. She’s gorgeous. Amazing similarity to Obelixx’s one.  You never get bored when there is a cat around to entertain you.

    Morning all,

I think the busy bit is over and I can relax - the volume of food preparation and washing-up against time watching TV seems to have become terribly distorted recently ;) Although I understand that the TV schedules Christmas decline continues apace :o

Reffed yesterday with another one scheduled for next Saturday but no work this week so it'll be a gardening/running week when Bella has buggered off!

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I hope everyone has weathered Storm Bella without too many dramas. I woke and heard the wind at about 3:30 am but all is still here now and the sky is brightening in the west ... hopefully that’s it over and done with. Didn’t seem as bad as we feared here in the east at least.

Now to get on with the day ...

    Morning all.

I'm so sorry about @Hostafan1's husband, must be very hard for both of them.

@WonkyWomble's new cat looks a real Sweetie. Is she tame or semi wild?

I'm glad storm Bella hasn't been too bad where @Dovefromabove is. OH was worrying a bit about the cottage, there have been some floods in our area. But we have good friends there who keep an eye on things.

We had a lovely Christmas with daughter 1 and their 3 sons. Her French MIL was there too. We are a similar age and get on well, she's very bubbly, I'm on the quiet side.

Daughter gave me 5 pink shrub roses for the garden at my new house, Cornelia, Felicia, Louise Odier, Comte de Chambord and Jacques Cartier. She's keeping them in her vegetable garden until she comes to visit us in the new house in January.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Hi all,  storm Bella  not as bad here as feared either so onward.  Having not had any for weeks caught another mouse in the utility area. Will have to look again to try and find out where they are getting in.
    Have a good day all.

  • Lovely present @Busy-Lizzie 😊 we had a short heavy shower just after I posted earlier, but now it’s blue sky and white fluffies and we’re going out for a walk when the Archers has finished. ☀️

Morning. We’ve been putting the polygreenhouse back together and repotting the plants which fell. I can’t grumble as people must have had some awful damage (but I was upset when I saw the mess). The sun is out now so hopefully that will dry things out.

I hope everyone is ok. Doing a Zoom family games thing later - ‘Scattergories’ 🤓
