Love that it's a gravy dinner @AuntyRach. Here it would be called bangers, mash and onion gravy with some greens altho that's a rare treat. Far more likely to bake the sausages in the oven with chopped re onions and peppers and some cherry toms, herbs and a bit of balsamic vinegar.
Having cleared out the fish and veg freezer today we're having chilli prawn linguine and, as we are well off for eggs, a chocolate tart that uses 6 of them.
It's still wet and windy out there but with clear spells too now so a lovely moon coming up when I put the chooks to bed. Glad you got out OK @Busy-Lizzie and had a good time. No snow here @floralies but plenty of hail.
Have a safe and cosy evening everyone.

Enjoyed a quiet few days with Netflix and chocolate - not normally me but felt the need for escapism. Did manage a day in the garden before the rain set in, very invigorating, but definitely needed a bit of away from it all time. Watched a series called Bridgerton, all good fun and frocks.
Glad to hear you're all ok, despite weather, looking forward to a New Year full of promise. Surely can't be worse than this last ......
Hugs to all, gosh how we need to hug, who would ever have thought it....
Goodnight all. 😘😘

Just thinking about what to have for dinner here Dove. It’s freezing outside. Only 4 degrees at Thredbo according to the TV. Crazy summer.
Since our favourite lunch place in the Coles arcade is closed for the next week, we picked up a fresh loaf of Italian olive bread and a tub of avocado dip. We pigged out when we got home and now we’re undecided what to have for dinner. 😂
Ooh @Pat E 😎 olive bread and avocado... that sounds good ... just the thing for post Christmas ... I might put avocados on a list for next time OH goes shopping ... (not needed yet but there’s a few things we’re getting low on, e.g. eggs 😉) I’ve got a good recipe for a sourdough olive bread.

We really enjoyed it Dove. We’ve decided n a pkt frozen Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Puff Pastry Canapés. They’re from Aldi. They’re only bite size so should finish off our over large lunch 😜
oh dear @Busy-Lizzie -- hope you feel better. It's hard to get out of the anxiety/sleeplessness/anxiety cycle . I find it helps me to write whatever is bothering me down when I can't sleep. Doesn't always work , but I'll take a 50% success rate. Morning everyone else ( afternoon @Pat E -- your lunch sounds like my perfect summer meal. ) -- bitterly cold out there -- be careful!

Back to work tomorrow, so a cooked gravy dinner (sausage, mash, veg) tonight followed by an early (ish) night.
I hope all are ok. Keep warm and keep safe folks.

We might go for a drive to town today since we’ve not been in since 23rd. Not that we need food. The fridge and cupboards are well stocked.
hope everyone has a good sleep.

I had a very bad night. There still seems to be so much to do before my move and it was all going round in my head.
