    Hope everyone enjoyed xmas.
Storm Bella giving the trees a good thrashing up here in Scotland, and its grey and miserable  outside.. Any remaining leaves have gone. Hunkering down for the day.

Happy Boxing Day!   I did it!!  The meal was a great success - no crunchy roast veggies but gravy all the same!   We couldn't decide whether to have custard, vanilla ice-cream or salted caramel ice-cream with the Christmas pud - yes, you guessed it - we dobbed on all three!  No walk on the beach in the afternoon as we have 100kmph winds which makes the air colder - so we just trotted around the fields near the house.  Seems to be storms galore - I hope @Obelixx you are all right - you're in for a right one soon.  Finished the day with the Christmas special of Call the Midwife - and so to bed.

@WonkyWomble  Nice pussycat - looks very contented and cosy.

I'm glad though, that Christmas is passed.

Aww - Sweetie is adorable! So floofy! 💓 Good timing for being promoted as the weather will be either stormy or cold this week.

Glad to hear about successful Christmas dinners. We had sticky toffee pudding as an alternative (could become a new tradition) 😋

I think @WonkyWomble has brushed her to within an inch of her life over the past few days ... when I saw her about ten days ago she looked like an explosion in a cushion factory!!! 😯 😂

Now it’s time for Calamity Jane!!! 😍

  • By the way folks, I’ll let you into a secret ... when she was 11 @WonkyWomble declared she was going to marry Wild Bill Hickok when she grew up 😉

Happy Boxing Day to all Forkers pas and present.

Calm here today but likely to be horrid tomorrow.   Walkies then when Calamity Jane has finished but not tomorrow.

Comfy looking pusscat @WonkyWomble.   Looks a lot like our Sashawho had a thing about Possum's Barbie pool. Glad you had a good day @Yviestevie and some laughter.   Hope everyone else managed some too.

Sorry about your news @Hostafan1 but don't forget there's always support and encouragement on here when you need it.

Like many others a late change of plans left us with a big turkey between two. However it cooked well and there are now kilos of good meat stored to see us through the winter as well as enough stuffing balls and pigs in blankets for the next couple of days. Carcass has been stripped and boiled for stock.
Had a good rummage in the wine "cellar" for something suitable to wash it all down and found a '93 Nyetimber - 27 year old English fizz which was rather good. There is a slightly younger vintage for tonight's leftovers too :p
