    I've had easier @WonkyWomble!

Getting everyone paid before the Christmas break means doing 3 payrolls in two weeks. Finished (I hope :o) the second one yesterday so that must be why I feel like a weekend is required ;)

Right - time to start the process all over again.

  • Morning all -- grateful for the brief sun appearance yesterday even if it turned pretty quickly . Won't make the same mistake again -- headed out for groceries and christmas errands this morning ( all very very local , the pictures of oxford street struck fear into me, not that I was minded to go there anyway ) . And either there really was a deluge of rain yesterday , or a couple of my very big pots have blocked drainage as i see water pooling on the surface. They are too big to tip over so i'm going to have to make do with bailing it out with an old measuring jug or something and maybe put some kind of plastic shelter above until I can get that looked at in the spring. At least I'm sheltered enough that they are unlikely to freeze. Maybe that should that have gone on the curmudgeon thread?

Anyway , have a good day/evening  one and all

Morning folks, I must admit, my hair was a lot easier when it was long, could tie it up, growing out a fringe, its now "mouth length" and really annoying, sunny blue sky today.  Could I ask for some help please, from the dog owners, I have a 5 year old Boder Collie, who appears to be constipated.  Have never had this in a dog, the opposite yes.Not changed the food, mix of dry and moist kibble, she has veg, I  do extra with ours, was fine yesterday, long walk on the beach.  They have a dog flap, only one poo in the garden, that looks normal, she ate her breakfast half heartedly, and has been outside lots of times produced nothing, I have tried to go out and watch, but then she goes in, any tips?

    Morninh
everybody rather nice here this morning, sunshine and dry. Had to be up early for electrician to fix new outside light which we are pleased with. Already had our usual walk so not sure what to do next after coffee. I installed a Windows update last night and now appear to have to use a keyboard which pops up instead of just posting in the box. I wish they wouldn't alter things.

  • Morning all.  Hi Pat!

Hope you've managed to wake up, @WonkyWomble.  Dark mornings are a trial...

Sorry, @Nanny Beach - we only have a constipated cat.  She gets Lactulose prescribed to use as necessary, but I have no knowledge of dogs... hopefully someone will come on here with a suggestion, or you could ring your vet for advice?

Sunny here today, so I must make the most of it before the wind and rain arrive this evening.  We have a yellow warning for wind all night so I'll check the little plants are safely stowed before I finish outside.

Evening everyone. I had a painful visit to the dentist today, so not in the mood for chatting.  I’m to have an X-ray tomorrow at the hospital to follow up what she thinks is going on.😳

Anyway, in bed now, so night all.

    Sympathies @Pat E.  I hate teeth problems.

@Nanny Beach our dogs get a monthly tin of sardines in oil which keeps everything  lubricated.   You could try that with an added Weetabix crumbled into it for fibre.  Or just put a crushed Weetabix in the usual dinner serving and extra walkies as the exercise helps to get things moving.  If not, see a vet in case it's a sign of something else.

I've been reading in bed again - trouble with good new books  and dark mornings making hibernation so tempting- but we're thinking of heading to a beach this pm as it's dry at the mo.

Have some fun if you can, whatever you're all up to.
