I had mine cut last week and was surprised that the place wasn't busier, given the recent relaxation of rules to allow "non-essential" shops to open and the proximity of Xmas.   Washing and cutting and styling stations carefully separated and disinfected.   Can't go without an appointment, have to have a mask and have to take a bag in which we put our coat to minimise contact with other people and their stuff.

Still miserable here so no walkies for the doggies today.  Don't want to bring on another arthritic "crise" for either of them.   Cats not impressed.  Hens in the polytunnel nearly all day.  More of the same tomorrow.  A girl could get glum.

I'm having mine cut on Friday, would have preferred to last week, but only appointment left. OH is going to drop me off and collect me so I don't have to take the bus and it will only take about 45 mins hopefully. It's a tiny salon with only one hairdresser so should only be two of us in it. Have to get it done as my OH told me this morning he couldn't tell the difference whether I'd brushed it or not! That's the trouble with very thick white hair and damp weather doesn't help. I'm impressed you had such a lot cut off Obelixx, I haven't had long hair since my twenties.
We're forecast gales for tomorrow so not nice, today was quite pleasant so got hellebore leaves cut off and lavender bushes trimmed which I'd forgotten about.

Hugs from here Wonky, its horrible when pets go.  Had my hair cut last week, my blooming hairdresser has moved!! She was about 5 minutes walk, I wash my hair first, she wets it, much easier than trying to wash your hair while you have a mask on.It was very windy here today, but sunny and blue sky.

I had forgotten about plants I'd put in the cold frames in pots last autumn, 2019. There was Crocosmia Emily Mckenzie, an ageratum, and an alstromeria that I'd ordered from grandson for a school fundraiser and a Salvia "Royal Bumble" that I grew from a cutting last year. The cold frames and pots were full of weeds, I re-potted the plants and was surprised to see signs of life in all of them, despite total neglect, no food, no watering. Royal Bumble had grown through its pot and the weed suppressant (ha ha) fabric. I had quite a job liberating it. It was about a metre tall. I hope it survives. I'll take them all to my new house.

Good finds @Busy-Lizzie.  Hope they do well for you and the new garden.

@Lizzie27 - my hair is straight and smooth and quite strong and thick so a short haircut needs daily styling which is not my thing now I no longer wear suits and work in an office.   A bob isn't much better as it falls in a curtain across my eyes whenever I'm kneeling or bending to sow, plant, weed etc so I went back to wearing it long again.  Usually have an annual 6" trim but this year I went a bit shorter to get a decent amount for a wig for people suffering from alopecia or who've list their hair in chemo.  I'm also lucky in having kept my colour and even gone darker with just a bit of silvery grey around my temples.

Oh, you're lucky to have lovely straight hair then Obelixx, I've tried a bob cut a couple of times but as you say it does get in your face when you're gardening. I even had mine chemically straightened once or twice, loved the effect but not the chemicals or the cost!
