Too many nice plants, not enough space. I've planted the odd climber on council owned land near my house when i couldn't find a space for it. :)

  • I know the problem ... I’m wondering whether I could rig up a mezzanine border over the next door garden. There’s no one living there at the moment ... do you think anyone would notice? 😉

  • Morning everyone ! ( @Dovefromabove -- am sure your mezz border would be appreciated eventually  :) but you must be prepared to lose custody to your neighbours at some point!)

    Morning all/afties, evening @Pat E if you're there.
Hope you find something suitable @Balgay.Hill. I've become quite tough when I go to the nursery now, but the problem with the t'interweb is that there are too many nurseries which have even more choice  ;)
I read back a bit. I hope your mum is ok @punkdoc. Horrible situation. I've never understood how these things can happen.
@D0rdogne_Damsel - you can't beat our Ken for the quiz. Good fun, even on the bad days  :D
I'm glad I didn't plant the shrub I lifted last week, on Friday. I took a look at the forecast and decided against it. Ground's still frozen from Saturday evening, so it was a good call.  Not sure I'd get the hole dug anyway without breaking the spade.  ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Hi grey & misty here as well,  interesting that there's a lot more bird activity in the garden today.  We seem to have "lost " our tame Robin there are some about but they aren't coming right up to the patio as yet.

    Morning all,

Absolutely stunning morning - blue skies and sunshine. Typical after the murk of yesterday when I was outside :o

I'll have to make do with looking out over the top of my laptops!

  • We’re having a substantial meal tonight

    Hi all

'It was the day my grandmother exploded. I sat in the crematorium, listening to my Uncle Hamish quietly snoring in harmony to Bach's Mass in B Minor, and I reflected that it always seemed to be death that drew me back to Gallanach.'

Hello all, that is quite a gluttonous meal you have there @Dovefromabove  !
Cold and very wet down here today, so different to the lovely warm weather we have been having.
Have been trying to deal with the the ups and downs in the family for the last few days, more downs than ups!
Lovely to see all the baking going on.....I am a hopeless cook and don't particularly like cooking at all, my son and daughter are always wondering how they managed to survive on the meals they were given!!
I must get down to writing my Christmas cards, I keep putting it off, can't seem to get in the mood at the moment.
Have a good day all whatever you are up to.
  • @punkdoc ... tell us more ...

@floralies my OH has hollow legs and is built like a racing snake ... he cycles everywhere and needs regular stoking ... at his heaviest he weighs a little over 60kg ... I have my work cut out to keep him refuelled 😂
