Ooh lovely to hear about your busy days and also the progress of the chooks. Ā Say hello to Wonky for me Dove when you get the chance.Ā
Weāve got a hot day tomorrow without rain so I might get an extra bit of washing on the line. Night hang out the blanket that Pixel has been enjoying on our bed too, for an airing.Ā
Hopefully I've got my timings right, did indoor jobs this morning, paperwork and washing Halloween tablecloths - no longer neededĀ now enjoying a sandwich made from the leftover pork tenderloin joint from Sunday with some lovely fresh French bread, not homemade I'm afraid and the sun is beginning to shine so off into the garden shortly.Ā I could possibly get used to this not working lark.Ā Ā
Thank you for your kind words @Pat E we're all just trying to get though life as best we can aren't we. It's a good job cats apparently have 9 lives isn't it. Near CdeG there's a cat that spends it's time dodging traffic, I cringe every time I see him/her.Ā
News from Vienna this morning - horrible - why, what do they hope to gain? Another reason to stay in the garden head down, so awfully sad for those affected.Ā
I too wondered where everyone had gone @Fairygirl missing @Hostafan1 and @punkdoc this week. Since I have found the time to pop back in I also wondered about others from a while back - @Verdun@star gaze lily@Steve the Gardening Vet and others. There was one lady from the midlands always dashing about too, but that's a long while back now. I suppose we all get sucked into dealing with day to day living and other distractions. Can you remember the name of the chap that was an expert at sweetpeas?Ā
Anyway, mustn't miss my sunshine window, catch up later.Ā
āCoffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?ā āBetsy CaƱas Garmon

Greetings Damsel and all,
I'm still alive. Just spending far too much time working. We have stayed open throughout all of this, just working in a different way which makes things harder and feel twice as busy.
I've still managed to mow the lawn, prune bits and started a succulent collection so in Spring I'll be sorting my greenhouse out to do more of that.
Great to see you @Steve the Gardening Vet ... I guessed you must be busy ... a bit like GPs ... the same number or even more patients, but it's taking longer to get through each appointment ... do you even have time to sleep and eat?
Gardening in Central NorfolkĀ on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Sometimes... I also work part of every day, seven days a week!
Our vets have stayed open right through but no one allowed in, you put your animal down in the car park and step back, Ā if itās a dog they take it from your car while you walk out of they way. Iām very grateful to everyone who has worked right through all this, there must have been many times they would like to have isolated for a while.Ā
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.Ā
Our vet has worked thru too but only one person and their pet(s) allowed in at a time now.Ā Ā Luckily, all we've needed are the annual jabs but I'm also very grateful for such people who have stayed available for those who need them.
The hygienist was telling me that our dentists stayed open all the way through, initially only doing emergency stuff, then from August trying to catch up on the backlog of routine stuff. I do hope that by the time of my next appointment in May, the virus may have quietened down a bit.Ā
Soup on the go here too - chicken with veg including roast squash.Ā They canĀ dress it up all they want @Obelixx - but they're just murderers. Plain and simple.Ā How are you doing a prairie without grasses though? Isn't that an integral part?Ā A couple of those people are no longer on the forum @D0rdogne_Damsel - for reasons I won't bore you with. star gaze lily only really posts on the other chat thread.Ā Good to see you @Steve the Gardening Vet. The gaps between clients will be making it a longer job for you. Very tiring.Ā I encountered a very rude man when I was almost home from my walk. Words fail me about attitude. I realised I'd seen him a couple of days ago, and thought then he was a complete 'waarmer'. He reinforced that todayĀ Ā Managed it dry though, and we even have a wee bit of sun.Ā
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
