I loved John Sessions. A good actor too, as well asĀ  a very funny man. Far too youngĀ  :(
I would shed tears for him but I certainly would not for 'him' that died a few days ago.Ā
I've been hacking and slashing at a laurel which I want to take out as it' overstayed it's welcome. Good job for a cool day. 7 was the best we were getting but at least the wind has dropped to a normal level and it was dry. All good.Ā
    How is Gabriel doing @Yviestevie?Ā

@Fairygirl he's fine at the moment.Ā  This time they have given him a second inhaler, to help prevent attacks.

    That's very good news @Busy-Lizzie and @Yviestevie.

I don't know of John Sessions at all I'm afraid.

I also wish @Chicky would come back, I'm very confused as to why she suddenly threw in the towel, I couldn't see anything in the preceding posts that I thought would have upset her.Ā  Come back Chicky, we need you!

Your perennial/maybe grasses bed sounds good Obelixx. Trentham Gardens have some fine examples if you can see them online. I've just taken loads of stipa tenuissima out of my borders,Ā decided I was bored with them and prefer more flowers.

@Lizzie27 stipa tenuissima is one of the grasses that particularly fll me with horror.Ā  Never once ween one that didn't look like it needed a short back and sides.Ā  Ā If I do have grasses they'll be tall and airy, not short and hairy.

Found this @D0rdogne_Damsel and thought it might be of interest to Charlie.

Sounds like you two have had a good time in your gardens @Fairygirl and @Yviestevie.Ā  Well done.

    Hi all

Thought I better let you know that I was alive, just not feeling very chatty at the moment. I seem to have another depressive episode, which I suppose I had been expecting.
Stay well, try to have fun and be kind.

Thanks for letting us know @punkdoc, we can't help worrying when you don't appear for a bit.

I watched "The Children Act", with Emma Thompson, this evening. I found it very moving and forgot about "Bake Off".

  • I used to like them but I find programmes like that difficult now, ever since I worked in children’s social work.Ā

Time for bed now ... sleep tight all 😓
