Beautiful day here and I was very naughty and cut my planned day in the kitchen of CdeG short and spent most of it in the garden. I'll catch up tomorrow. I did feed all my cakes before I went out though.
I've no idea why that's uploaded sideways. 😱
I've an Indian Curry Takeaway night planned for Friday, I know, not very English Tearoom style, but it's proving popular, 22 reserved so far! We have done Curry nights before and they've always gone well. This time though I've got to make my own onion bhajis, naan bread and samosas because my usual supplier isn't available. All new skills as @Busy-Lizzie says.
I'm sorry to hear about your mum @punkdoc, elderly people are certainly suffering badly from the current situation, such a shame. Not a nice way to end ones days.
Again and again I'm thankful for the opportunity to work in the garden and a chance to forget all woes. This bed is my latest project, you couldn't see it two weeks ago, a climbing rose covered most of it including two or three shrubs which it smothered to death. I've got some nice new perennials to go in in spring, watch this space....
P.S. @Obelixx, I've watched a couple of episodes of Queen's Gambit, it was a bit slow to start with but has got better. The cinematography is lovely, although I did start to think the set designers had got hold of a job lot of turquoise paint. Enjoy anyway. 😁

Morning all, chilly but lovely start to the day here, sky is so pretty at sunrise.
Head down and baking and making today, really need to get ahead, a lot of people starting to turn up at the end of this week to collect Christmas cakes.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all -- brrrr! And they say there will be sleet on Friday so I dread to think how cold it will be outside London! Coffee and hot water bottle on the go!

If you’ve done all your washing maybe we could hang ours out in your garden? It’ll get dry a lot quicker there than it would here 🙄
