Thanks @Busy-Lizzie.   No frost here either this morning tho plenty of sparkly dew so it still looked pretty.   Good luck with the plant rescuing.

Just started a fight in the garden. I sprinkled some mealworms for the blackbirds and they turned up in force before I even got back indoors. They are now busy using up more energy chasing each other off the bounty than they will get from eating it!

I’m in bed and ready for my book reading. 👏.
I managed some walking late in the afternoon. Down the hill to the bore pump (electric, thank goodness) and then up the hill again to check levels in three different tanks.
Hubby got the sprinklers going on the lavender rows ( first time this summer) and I think we will have a good harvest this year. I’m starting to pick small broad beans to nibble as I move around the garden  - I like them raw. My Iranian friend said they like to cook the young ones pods and all,  like green beans.   Anyway, night all.

    Afties all/evening @Pat E.
All behind - 'like the coo's tail' today. Pooter updating - again.  :/
Shame about the pigeon @WonkyWomble , but he was clearly not well. At least he had had a good few days.  :)
Mealworms being eaten in large amounts here too @steephill, but I think the magpies are getting them before the blackies.
Mr MacInnes is being taken through Glencoe, for the last time, next week. A fitting tribute. Interesting that Maradona has died and is being feted to the skies. I know which man I have respect for.
Frost and fog here. The sun was trying valiantly to get through, but it didn't really happen, and it's just dank now. I could see a nice inversion over the Clyde valley when I  was out, and the Campsies were quite clear on the tops. If I could summon the enthusiasm for some bog trotting I could go there.
The red squirrel story was on the RTBC thread @Busy-Lizzie :)

I have finished on time, in fact a bit early, so just sitting down with a cuppa.
Great news @Dovefromabove - I hope he can recuperate a bit now before any more appointments etc.
