  • You should hear @WonkyWomble and Dove duetting to Fairytale of New York if you want a real endorphin boost  .... The Shoop Shoop Song runs a close second, along with Mamas & Papas' Sing Your Own Kind of Music.  B)

Brilliant! It adds a certain something to Fairytale belted out whilst driving I think.

It's been a lovely day, mild and sunny and I've been busy.

I pressure washed the horse trailer, it was grey, now it's more or less white. I also pressure washed 4 Triconfort sun loungers which I'm giving to my daughters, they were very dirty, a wooden garden chair and the metal bench that lives under the copper beech which I am taking to the new place.

Then I cleaned out the open sided lean to garden shed behind the garage. There is an oak tree there so it was full of dead leaves. Under the leaves were plastic flower pots and compost bags  Seems I never clear anything up. But it is worse than usual because clearing sheds and the GH are jobs I usually do in the winter and I was in Norfolk in January, and again from end of February to July and I hadn't got round to it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Oh @Busy-Lizzie, it just seems to go on and on this sorting out doesn't it. Sometimes I do the top floor of the house (4 floors) and find a few weeks (months?) later actually all I did was move it to the basement. All this 'stuff' we think we'll need. :/

As for plant pots, I was really mercenary in March and threw hundreds away, now I have bought some new plants...:) they need to go into bigger pots for the winter...and have a got one  - no! Went to the GC today (OMG - the queues)  and then the price of them - I gave up and walked out.

I have decided this evening to write Christmas cards, I have quite a few friends abroad, so they need to get in the post box, but gosh it does seem a chore, face to face I love to chat but telephone calls and letters, especially multiples of I am not keen. So difficult to get the tone right, I don't want to send them all the gloomy news but equally don't want to appear smug...I suppose just enough to let them know you're thinking about them and miss them. Also, the light at the table causes an awful shadow as you write...sorry, now I am just rambling and prevaricating.  ;)

Give me Abba to sig along to any day - that's an age thing I suppose, although I know every Rag 'n' Bone man song off by heart too.

    Right....Xmas Cards - focus!

And now I'm following YouTube down the rabbit hole - it's now given me Billy Joel 'My Life'  B)

We’ve been out the back of our place for a drive to check on damage from yesterday’s storm.

This Eucalyptus has had the top snapped right off.

And this one is blocking the track we drive on alongside next door neighbours fence line.

Looks as though Hubby has some chainsawing to do before long. 🙄

Our neighbour has worse damage to clear up, but knowing him, he probably won’t do anything about it.
