Sorry to report that Headache the pigeon fell in the pond while I was out today....I found him too late even though id only been out 25 minutes. We will look upon his last few days with us as end of life hospice care.  He was very grateful.  RIP Headache.   :'(

As you say @WonkyWomble he was warm, fed and cared for.  It's all you can do.

Just back from walkies with our pair of dogs and we found a huge empty cow pasture for them to gallop about - well Bonzo did but Rasta is getting a bit doddery so just plodded about sniffing happily.  Took them down for hen training when we got back and they both sat obediently tho the hens were having none of it and scarpered anyway.

Sad news about Headache the pigeon.

I can't find Fairygirl's squirrel story. I wish when you look at people's posts it would give the whole post, not just a bit of it.

I've been digging up plants and potting them up for me and daughters. I mustn't take plants from the garden so I'm just taking bits from the edges and leaving the main plant.

I think my daughter's going to stay with us until the New Year as well @Obelixx, apart from a quick visit back to her place to check on it when lockdown's lifted next week. I expect you've got more room than us though, she's having to work on the dining room table most days and we're mostly open plan, so it's a bit fraught sometimes.
    Shame about the pigeon @WonkyWomble.

  • At least he had a peaceful last few days @WonkyWomble ... as befits a sort of relative 🕊 😉

Absolutely @Dovefromabove. I've never seen them as flying rats as some folks,  they served in the war!
    Thank you everyone  :)
  • Flying visit, busy, busy, busy - trying to get what sales I can out of December, it's going to be a long winter once Christmas is over with not being able to open until late January, if we are lucky.  :(

I am so sorry to hear about Headache, @w@WonkyWombleyou did make his last few days special though.

@Obelixx I keep thinking about Possum, such an awful time for young people, it is such an unsettling situation for her to be in. You do sound like you are doing everything possible to keep her spirits up, do send her my best regards.

@Lizzie27 best wishes to all of you there too, some very trying times for everyone.

I think the best thing to do is eat cake, go on all, have something from my efforts today...:)

Oo what are the little tarts @D0rdogne_Damsel? They all look top notch.

    RIP Headache 😔

Take it easy all, particularly those with hassles, worries or ailments.

Early night for me but it’s faux-Friday for me tomorrow as I have a three day weekend ahead 🎉

Ah, poor Headache. It's a thing said by those of us lucky enough to live with ex-racing greyhounds that when they die, they will be remembered and that is something when so many thousands die with no one to notice their passing.

Lovely looking cakes and things DD  :)
