    I take it that the phrasing of the last two sentences was intentional?

    Thank you @Pat E  :)
    It's getting the same here too @punkdoc. Whatever you think of wee Jimmy K , at least she was being clear in every speech, so people knew the score [and couldn't realistically complain about not knowing] but in the last week or so, it's all gone a bit Pete Tong. You can put your postcode into the news site to get info, but frankly, it's a bit of a mare. I'm glad I don't have to think too much about it.
    Happy Anniversary @chicky and Mr chicky. Hope you have a lovely meal  :)
    I'm trying to justify the time and petrol to go to one of those hills, and not succeeding  ;)

    I am lucky too, in that my life is so dull, I rarely need to go out. If I am up for a walk, there are plenty right from the door.
    How can you lie there and think of England

    We all live in a bit of a bubble though don't we and think this 'mess' is just affecting us this badly - but the 'second' wave is hitting virtually the whole of Europe - and each government is scrambling around trying to balance not going bankrupt with keeping the people safe.
    ...obviously, due to better testing across the countries, the 2nd wave numbers appear vastly more scary than they may have done had better testing been in place from day 1.

    PS happy birthday @Fairygirl - go celebrate with Dave and a mug of tea!

    It made me smile  ;)

    I didn't see those posts - I like those sentences in  @Busy-Lizzie's!  :D

    Dave's fickle - he hasn't even brought me anything up the back steps.
    You can enjoy that double entendre as well.... ;)

    Oh dear, I'm so naive, I can't see what is funny about it.

    @Fairygirl - wot? Dave didn't do a flypast?
    Must be my sheltered upbringing, but I didn't get your double entendre - explain Will Robinson...
