It's been marvellous @Liriodendron. A snickers cake that my eldest baked yesterday - absolutely superb. I'm biased but you'd pay good money for a professional to make a cake that good
Good morning all ☕️ Hope the trip was good @Pat E 😎 OH has a very early start today so right now he’s cycling eastwards into an amazing pink sky ... I’m on my second coffee and thinking about getting up ...

Morning @Biglad 😊 cake sounds very good 👍 speaking of bulbs ... I’ve just discovered an unspent gardening voucher from pre-lockdown ... as OH’s workplace is on the same site as a big garden centre later in the week I’m going to send him to buy whatever early crocus, species tulips and little daffodils they have left ... hopefully at reduced prices by now 😉 ... I’ve got pots to fill 😊

Morning all, I've not had much opportunity to post but I've been trying to keep up with reading the thread. Happy birthday for yesterday @Biglad , I made two birthday cakes yesterday morning, 45€ for one, 60€ for the second, just to give your eldest the value of her (?) skills. 😅🎂
Glad you all enjoyed the tennis. 🎾
@Obelixx , what have you cut out of your diet to achieve such good results? I'm doing Sober October, until my holiday anyway, I did start a week early. I'm doing it to try and lose a bit of weight, but find myself eating more - not really the idea. I only want to lose about 10 kg, but have sort of got stuck. I'm going to try and get some swimming in now it's gone quieter.
Business is causing all sorts of stress/wobbles - sympathy to everyone suffering likewise or supporting sufferers. It's very difficult to reason with one's own self doubt etc. The problem at the moment is it has gone quieter, much quieter than last year, I've just managed to get staff organised/trained and am now juggling finding enough for them to do. This week one was on holiday so I didn't cover her shifts, just did it myself and then of course we had a busy day and were running around like headless chickens. Saturday night not a soul came in, Sunday lunch completely full, last Sunday it was dead.... very tricky and I keep thinking people will never come out again with all this covid19 worry. I can't sleep at night fretting and then am too tired in the day to function properly. I'm really hoping the half term holiday will bring them out again. The weather has been better this week too, that helps. I've got paperwork to do today and tomorrow I'm spending in the garden, bulbs to do, autumn tidying and seeds to plant, I always find gardening calms me down, except for the frustration of it not being perfect. 😅 Thank you too btw @punkdoc and @Lyn for info on plant, I'm going to give them a try. Must stop rambling on, good day to all... Ooh forgot to say love your photos @chicky and hope chicklet is ok with quarantine 😒

Morning all/afties @Pat E. Hope the trip was ok. @D0rdogne_Damsel - you have the kind of business which is being particularly badly hit. If it wasn't for the virus, it would all be so much simpler for you to deal with - still difficult, as these things always are, but without the added massive uncertainty. Be kind to yourself. Glad you're a bit steadier @Yviestevie Snickers cake @Biglad? Tell me more! You'll need a few sprints to work that off... My favourite chocolate bar. I had an addiction to those when pregnant with 2nd daughter. I kept thinking I was going to give birth to a squirrel. Being able to eat anything was a delight though. Roast beef was another addiction. Something I've never liked. The joys I'm hoping for a decent cake too. That's a frightening amount for those cakes of DD's though
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Forecast is poor but I've got bulbs to plant and hill sprints to stagger

I hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel for you sooner rather than later.
Whereabouts in Lancashire are you btw, I'm from 'Up North' myself?
