Hello all, my thoughts are with you @Dovefromabove with your family news.
Have been to SM this morning for weekly shop, it was very empty of people and very leisurely. Went to the GC (Gamm Vert) and that was very busy. They have Perlite, was it you @Obelixx who was looking for some? it was on the shelves with the indoor plant and Orchid composts etc.
Squally showers here today so indoors here for the rest of the day.
    Stay safe everyone.

So sorry to hear your news @Dovefromabove.
How can you lie there and think of England

Thanks @punkdoc ... we’re all hopeful that they’re going to be able to sort him out.

His youngest had Hodgkins when she was at uni and she was very ill
for a long while  ... she’s and her husband have recentlypresented brother with a healthy grandson and her brother and her brother and his wife have just done the same so he has lots to be positive about.

We have faith that if it is at all possible the NHS will fix him 👍

Just logged on and readback. Sorry to hear your news @Dovefromabove, do hope your brother pulls through.
Took it easy today, as rather tired after our recent journeys. Just walked to the shops and had a quick potter round the garden. The big maple is changing colour fast and losing its leaves even faster so lots of leaf picking up to do. Put all the ceramics (bird baths, water features, lizard ball) etc safely away in the shed before we get any frosts. I'm usually late getting those organised so that's a good job done.
I've also managed (after nearly two hours!) to get my new phone hooked up to our internet provider at last. It keeps warbling at me but I'm not quite sure what that means. I've had to install two updates already.

Hope the weather improved @Fairygirl and you got a walk in and that you are enjoying your week off @AuntyRach. Is the 10 days up yet @Busy-Lizzie? You'll hopefully be more relaxed then and looking forward to OH's return.

No @Lizzie27. The buyers had forgotten to sign a clause so it had to be sent back to them in Holland as they won't sign electronically. It was sorted on 8th October, yet another delay.

I went to have a mug of tea with a friend this afternoon and I've been cleaning pictures.

A mug of tea with a friend sounds very sustaining in difficult times @Busy-Lizzie 😊

No wonder they call moving house one of the three most stressful experiences of life! I must admit after our experience trying to buy this house, we are definitely not doing it again unless we're forced to.

A mug of tea can cure any ill @Busy-Lizzie :)
My neighbour fell into the position of having bother selling, just because of timing with the virus, and the first two buyers had to pull out. Fortunately, the third time, all has been fine. Seems a nice lady that's moved in. Fingers crossed it will be fine for you too.
I moved 6 times in the space of a few years, for reasons some of you know. I got quite good at it  :D
Many trees are bare here now, but some have been later in turning. Makes it interesting when I'm out. It's always good when the weather's benign enough to enjoy the changing colours. I should take the camera when I go out, but it's not the easiest as it won't just go in a pocket. Hoping to get a wee hill tomorrow, although it'll just be one of the Campsies or similar.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
