Morning all/afties @Pat E. Very difficult for the fruit growing - and very frustrating when you want to grow some. Glad you had a lovely day @D0rdogne_Damsel, despite the wet stuff. The clock change has never affected me @Allotment Boy. Maybe it's just how I am. Girls are the same. Do you not have a clock on the timer you can change manually? I've only just started having the heating on the auto setting, and when younger fairylet has to be up at 4am, I adjust the clock so that it comes on for her at half 3 instead of at 7. It's only on for half an hour. Think we have a mix of every weather coming today, we have so far, so waterproofs will be needed for the walk later.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning all, got drowned this morning walking back from the village - as did all the small children and their mums doing the Scarecrow trail. Their maps were getting a bit soggy too! @DOrdogne_Damsel. Glad you and Obelixx enjoyed meeting up despite the weather. We might pop into town later depending on the weather. I need to return things to M&S and OH wants to go to the Building Society.
I'm watching the very strange behaviour of a magpie on our neighbours roof. It's hanging upside down just by its claws on the edge of the gutter, wings flapping furiously, pulling what looks like black slugs out from right underneath the gutter. Never seen that before.
Very heavy bursts of rain here today. We just had a loud thunder and hail episode. Cats were most perplexed.
Done my chemist and pet food shop run and just settling down for soup and AutumnWatch catch up. I twinged my back (again) putting my shopping bag away just now so will add painkillers to the lunch menu too.
Hope everyone is ok. Stay safe, dry and cosy folks.
That hail storm must have been bigger than I thought! Massive peal of thunder then heavy hail here on Surrey/Sussex border too. Then discovered that there must have been some local emergency work on the water supply as the taps started hiccuping and burping. Everything is fed off mains pressure so all taps and loos had to de-gassed including the hot water system.
That sounds just like my digestive system at the moment @steephill Went for weekly S/M shop this morning, it was absolutely rammed, loo rolls flying off the shelves a right bun fight, all in anticipation of what M Macron is going to say this evening. We queued longer to reach the till than we did to do the shopping.

Cracking morning here but the next wave of nastiness won't be long
Been very lazy recently so should think about squeezing a run in
