    My  Hederifolium are white!
All are gorgeous..the flowers can be white and pinks range from very pale to very dark.
    Leaves are also very different.
Buy now so you can see the flower colour and leaf pattern.
Below are all Cyclamen hederifolium...young plants

Yes nearby to those heathers they were selling cyclamens that the label warned buyers that they preferred 16-20°C wonder how many will realise they bought a cyclamen that is for indoor use 😂
It's such a con - selling these outside in October.
Oh dear, I bought a couple of cyclamen and have no idea if they were coum, hederifolium or otherwise. B&Q often don't label plants with any great detail. Pretty sure they're not persicum though, but maybe they are cilicium. Probably coum, but the leaves are more mottled like the cilicium. Except the leaves are pointed, like ivy so perhaps hederifolium. Hmm.

Sorry but I very much doubt that B & Q would be selling C.coum or C. hederifoilium.
If they were cheap then they will def not be the above
Outdoor hardy ones are always expensive.
Also they never look as big and strong as the indoor glorious ones...not when young

I'd agree - the retail outlets, as opposed to GCs and nurseries, usually have loads of them at this time of year. I noticed them in the supermarket last night when I was in, although I didn't look closely.

Lovely pix @Silver surfer. I only have some small areas here, but they're gradually spreading. The seeds I sowed a couple of years ago are looking very promising now :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I bought some cyclamen yesterday in Asda, I think they are beautiful, I just love white flowers ...are they are not hardy? O thought I could plant out or put in containers

That is gorgeous...very strong and healthy.
However it will not be a hardy outdoor one.
    How much did it cost?

    Cyclamen hederifolium are flowering now.
Cyclamen coum do not flower until later. Dec/Jan time.

The clue's in the previous posts @Grassly ;)

If you take a look at the many photos of the foliage, you'll see the differences between them too.

Hi Silver Surfer, it was a pack of 4 for £3, I've already planted a couple in pots. By the way your pictures look beautiful.
  • Thanks @Fairygirl, I've had a good look now, I guess supermarkets are not the best places especially, it's tempting though when there to be swayed to pick up a couple!
