Morning - another grey and murky day. We had a yellow warning for heavy rain for yesterday and today - unheard of and got me very excited thinking everything would get a really good watering. Guess what? Unlike everyone else we've had just a couple of showers and hours and hours of light drizzle or mist. Useless. Grr - I'm moving westwards!

LB - I gave the oven a good doing at the beginning of lockdown. Suspect it will have to wait another 3 years before it gets done again🤭 Good luck. I can usually get the doors off - can't always get them back on again😬

Debs - sorry to hear of your problems. Hope Wales is open for you. We're supposed to be going to Scotland in 3 weeks time but we've not paid any deposits for hire car / camp site etc in case Nicola slaps in another lockdown - she's considering a minimum of 2 weeks to cover school half term...

One good thing to come out the states yesterday - it has now been proved that the drug POTUS has been pumping himself full of ISN'T an effective way to prevent the spread of Covid. Muppet.

Ante You certainly have lots of potatoes to pack that will keep you very busy, are these orders for the restaurants?Ā

Morning T’bird, that’s unlucky to have missed out on a good watering, weather must have just skipped past you. I have no words for Trump nothing I could print on here anyway.Ā
I hope Rubee got on well with her new cooker, I really should give mine a good clean. Ā

Hello all. Just need to explain that I was only THINKING about sorting out the cooker. I have not yet got passed the thinking stage. I have been into the garden to cover a planter that is not draining well - using the top off my propagator. Its not quite big enough but it will deflect a lot of the rain away. I've also moved my tulbaghia into the GH as it looked as if its pot is also filling up with water. The birds are happy - bird feeders filled - and in the shortish time I was in the garden I got soaked through to the skin.
Debs, no wonder you have had a stressful time. You can look forward to a nice new kitchen next week (and all the subsequent dust you'll have to deal with!)

T'Bird, I could run a pipeline down through the tunnel for you. Chive, I'm with you regarding that twonk across the pond. Lets just hope he doesn't get a sympathy vote. Of course the brains behind the puppet, having seen the debacle of the debate with Bidens, might have suggested he mentions having Covid to get him out of the next two debates. (just ignore me, this lockdown had filled me with conspiracy theories!)
