Morning Chive. I hope that your day runs smoothly (I'm assuming Friday was Inset day?) and that you can have a successful shop later on.

    Morning Rubee,
Yes LB Friday was an inset day, so it’s back to school this week, half term at the end of the month so another break is on the horizon 🙂
Hope you have a good day Rubee.

Good morning.  LB like you i had a restless night.  A dull day today and not overt warm.  Chive I hope you have a good day at school and all goes well.  Lily I hope you and oh are feeling better after the flu jab.
  • Morning everyone,
Looks very autumnal out there this morning, but at least its not raining.
SM delivery came this morning, no hand gel this time. 🙄
Sorry you had a restless night LB and Rosie. Hopefully you can have a lazy day and relax.
Think the paracetamol I took for my achy arm helped me nod off. Did wake up once during the night but did go back to sleep quite quickly. Thank you Rosie, aches a bit this morning, but not as bad as yesterday afternoon and evening.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care.
    SYL.

Hello all. Just in from 'sco and stashed all my shopping. I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulties getting hand gel SGL. I didn't want any but I noticed that there were plentiful supplies on the shelves and at the checkouts too. If you are not going out you are probably ok with the refills of handwash you got the last time - well for the time being at least.

  • I didn't need any LB, but thought I would just add a couple of the small hand sanitizer that we take out with us, just in case. But I'll just try again on next weeks shop.
Two of my friends who actually go in the SM said there was loads on the shelves this morning. I wonder if you get your shop delivered they tend not to send it.....just a thought as it's happened before 🙄

It is a bit naughty of them if they do that SGL. Especially when people, as you and your OH, need to have home deliveries and therefore cannot get out to buy any. Could any of your family get some for you and just leave it near your house for you if you are in a strict area?

Afternoon - SM run this morning. Plenty of hand gel, loo rolls, pasta, flour etc etc but the baked beans shelf was empty, the sweetcorn was low and there were no firelighters or long matches.

Use firelighters now we no longer have a paper newspaper (we get an e one) and I much prefer the extra long matches for lighting the fire - saves getting burnt fingers. Maybe I'll repurpose the junk mail for fire lighting.

Hope today wasn't too bad Chive. I know what you mean by that slightly sinking feeling you get in the pit of your stomach once Sunday lunch has been washed up. Still get it if I hear the theme music to Songs of Praise which used to be on at about 7pm on a Sunday evening...
