25 October Quotes - Famous Sayings and Quotes about October
Good morning everybody. Definitely no gardening today for very obvious reasons. Bird feeders need to be filled, that could be to only sortie into the garden but I also need to check on the GH. I will have to have a think about having another clear out. I noticed when I was in 'sco earlier this week that they have added another large bin near the checkouts for clothing and household textiles that are no longer needed. I think I could fill a bag to go in there the next time I go shopping. I could also do with attacking the oven and giving it a good sorting out. Gosh I do have an exciting life - not! Whatever you have planned for today, have a good one. Hazel, I hope that the boiler work is all complete now. Ruby, how did the new cooker perform for you?

Good morning SGL, LB and all to follow.

Sunny morning here but forecast is rain. I'll go to cottage and try to use every nice moment outside.

LB, I behaved very well, but I think that Sunday will be day for rest. If weather permit, I'll prepare soil for tulips and other spring bulbs. Didn't get all of them yet, so must wait till next Saturday.

Good morning Ante. I had an email yesterday saying my tulip bulbs are on their way but Monty, on Gardeners World last night said not to plant tulips until November or December. This planting advice seems to get later and later every year. Once upon a time the planting of tulips was recommended for October. I hope you manage to get your soil prepared.

Hi all, busy weekend planned emptying kitchen as work starts on Monday. House looks even messier than usual but we will get there!
All getting better here, baby George gave us a nasty few days after an extreme reaction to immunisations resulted in a few days in hospital. Work has been difficult but getting better. My sister and her husband left the pub they have run for 10 years which was difficult for her and fiancé is struggling with a busy job and family problems including his mom who is lonely and his son back in prison so feeling stressed and in need of relaxation we have a holiday to wales booked for November and we need it!
