Glad to hear Mr Liri is sorted @Liriodendron. When I had stitches in my leg earlier in the year I wrapped clingfilm round it then a plastic bag open at both ends pulled over the clingfilm and secured with an elastic band each end. It worked very well in the shower. Maybe Mr Liri could adapt that on a smaller scale.
She isn't black, but even if she were that is awful. We are all people no matter what colour. Do we discriminate against animals of different colours? No, so why do we discriminate against our own kind?
Actually, data from rescue centres shows that we do discriminate against animals of different colours. Black cats and dogs are less likely to be adopted than any other colour.
Morning all/afties @Pat E if you're there. That wee knitted doll needs a face.... Glad Mr Liri is fine @Liriodendron. He missed a trick though. Should have said no washing up for a month Rubber gloves? Lovely looking day again here after another frost. So much better than all the rain we've had. Many of you further south are needing it though, so we're happy to share. Apparently Wed night was the coldest recorded September temp up here for over 20 years. Altnaharra, so no surprise really.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning Dove....100 % chance of rain here today said my forecast. Not great gardening weather... thinking I might rebook that customer 🤔 Regarding the article Pdoc highlighted ...2 points, she IS black and that's not a negative thing. This is why unconscious bias training is needed in society and in particular for those that supposedly govern us. We can try to empathise but our whole experience is coming from the majority standard and not the experience of "other". This means our parameters of judgement are skewed and the conclusions we draw, biased. Heavy but important stuff. Sorry but feel very strongly on this subject being married to a black man and raising 2 black children for 20 years has given me some depressing experiences. But what an amazing man and children they are! Anyway, morning all.... coffees on!

Aren't humans just awful sometimes.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
