Good morning Forkers.Ā We have clouds with silver linings and teeny blue bits.Ā i'm off to tinker about in the hen house again then maybe some weeding or sewing this pm depending on whether the forecast is accurate or not.Ā Says light showers between 5 and 8pm.
Is that the Compromis @Busy-Lizzie?Ā Ā That gives you 3 months to sort, organise, pack and sign the final sale doesn't it?Ā Ā It'll be stressful but kind of exciting.Ā Good luck.
Don't understand the whole hoarding/panic buying/misbehaving in SMs or anywhere else.Ā Ā Whatever happened to British phlegm?
Lovely haul @punkdoc.Ā Ā Hope you get them in and safe.Ā Ā Keep warm @Pat E and stay safe everyone.
Not at all, @Hostafan1. I'd like clear signage on the aisles and problem customers to be dealt with by security or the policemen/women, who often seem to standing chatting to the staff member on the door (thereby meaning they are paying no attention to customers entering the store not observing any of the rules). If need be, close the affected aisles and have staff distribute the agreed rations to each customer on request? This should work for larger stores but I accept wouldn't be a solution for smaller retailers.
I sincerely hope that the idiot that smashed up that Co-op pays financially and, ideally, in time spent in an uninviting cell in forced self-isolation.
Yes @Obelixx, it's the Compromis. The written offer was nearly 2 months ago, the Compromis should have been signed a couple of weeks later then the notaire went on holiday for 3 weeks, he made an appointment to sign it when he got back then the buyers started fussing about translating it and getting estimates for the septic tank. All my children signed the Compromis within 2 weeks of the offer for their houses. The people I'm buying from are wanting their Compromis signed but I couldn't do it before my buyers signed.

Thing is if they checked my usual orders youād see id only ordered what I always order. Now Iāll only have half the amount of mozzarella I need for the recipe. š¢. I donāt mind stuff being fairly rationed ... but a bit of logic would be good.Ā

It was, of course, Ā proper mozzarellaĀ that Iād ordered @Obelixx ... and the whole idea of orderering a delivery means I can avoid shopping ... not my favourite pastime at the best of times ... Iāve not been in a supermarket since March other than to go to the adjoining pharmacy for my flu jab. It seems daft to start visiting supermarkets now just as the infection rate in Norfolk is going up. Staying away from shops and people etc has worked for me so far so Iām not changing now.Ā

Gosh, it's all a bit of a nightmare come true isn't it. One of my staff has just this morning booked a weekend in London to 'just to see her kids' and wants to fly back in in Wednesday and come straight back to work..... I'm not sure what to do, she really ought not to come back in to work for at least it 7 days in my understanding of the rules, she shouldn't even be seeing anyone in the UK until after 14 days....I so don't want to be giving wrong advice but tricky to find straightforward answers.Ā

That's exactly the problem @Hostafan1. Some people have lost the plot completely, but it's almost impossible for smaller shops to deal with it. Youngest works for the Co-op, and they can't get involved with anyone doing anything. If people shoplift, they have to just let them. That wouldn't have happened in the place she works - they wouldn't have wanted to see all that bevvy go to waste. They'd have been licking it off the floor.Ā Where the older one works, it's a bigger store, and they do ban people. Some of the managers have a dreadful time dealing with these types, and it's not the folk you expect either - it's normally the self entitled wealthy ones who cause the most bother.Ā @Biglad - you need to watch that Dove. Dreadful once she gets a drink in her.... Really lovely here, although a bit cloudier now. Speaking of clowns, I had the best one yet when I was out. Path was narrowing to about 4 feet, so I moved onto the grassy bank to let the guy go past. He looked at me, swung his arm out and said in a snarky voice 'there's plenty of room'. There wasn't. I just said to him 'six feet mate' and walked on.Ā Typical man. Thinks something's bigger than it actually is....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Steady on @Fairygirl - don't be tarring all us men folk with the same brushĀ
The number of strange looks that I've got whilst running in the middle of the road to give the pavement occupiers a wide berth, has been extremely irritating. Even if they would prefer me to run close enough to drip sweat on them and exhale into their faces , am I really worthy of a look that suggests I'm some kind of deviant for showing 'too much' consideration?
It's just the attitude of some people isn't it @Biglad? I passed several other groups of people and individuals, and all were considerate apart from the girl running [no change there] and the older pair of women [again, no change there] and I just think it's a mindset some folk have, as well as enormous complacency.Ā
I'm sure your measuring is always very accurateĀ
