    Morning all.
I slept much better. Thank you @Fairygirl.

@punkdoc, I have recorded 7.39, I think Sheridan Smith is a brilliant actress, looking forward to it. Plant list sounds good, hope you don't get too wet.

Had a call from my notaire's clerk this morning, my buyers are ready to sign
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I'm having my breakfast for heaven's sake @Biglad ...I have an image in my head now.... :D
I didn't watch that, but Bake Off was great. Did anyone watch the Dennis Nilsen drama, and the documentary? David Tennant is just brilliant. They all were. I love Danny Mays too.
The gunnera in the NT  garden near me is looking quite good @Hostafan1 . It gets very little direct sun though, and plenty of wet.
I'm crossing my fingers re the R and be T road. It's hopefully opening today, although they were having to see how much the rain last night would affect things. I just hope when I get ready for some hills, they don't bring in the 5 mile distance rule again. That would just be my luck!

  • Morning all, had a reasonable shower  (rain that is)about 6 this morning, freshened everything up.  What's the matter with these people panic buying woman in the paper with over 100 loo rolls, shops said there is no need to panic,no hortage, well, there blooming well will be now, I blam the shops though, why let people have that much, and agree with the bottled water lark, nothing wrong wih the tap.  I thought we were meant to be saving single use plastic, still see people in Sainsbury all year with a trolley full of the bottled stuff and it's not just the young!!
  • Just had a pre- delivery email from Sainsbugs saying they’re only delivering half my usual amount of tinned toms, pasta and mozzarella!  Is this the start of rationing again? I try to only do a shop/order every 3 or 4 weeks ... this is not helpful 🙄

There doesn't seem to be any improvement in the way we're deal with things @Nanny Beach The SMs are claiming that they're prepared with extra stock and advising people not to stockpile. So the idiots that emptied the shelves last time start to do so again  :o

The solution is straight forward. Restrict the amount that people can buy of certain items now and not when the shelves are empty and the panic is in full flow. This entire pandemic has been dealt with reactively with too little, too late. There is an argument that was fair enough the first time round but isn't doing the same thing and expecting a different result the definition of madness?

I said to my girls the other day - all the supermarkets  need to clamp down on that nonsense right away. Ridiculous.
Mind you, with the abuse still going on, staff will be terrified of saying anything to anyone. Daughter said one of the young check out girls last week had a 'customer' [that's the polite term] removing her mask and coughing at her, because she asked her to step back. She was still serving the person in front of her, and there was a minor problem with something. I know what I'd have done if I'd been the lady who was being served.  >:)

I'm not sure if any of you are volunteering to demand that customer put stuff back on the shelves? I certainly don't get paid enough to get into arguments with folk.
