Back from the hospital, some of my blood tests are a bit worse than normal, but as usual the reason is unclear, bit demoralising, but I am getting used to it.
Glad the gall bag is finally coming out, @Hostafan1 @Fairygirl, have you seen the Munro record has just been broken, 31 days, pretty unbelievable.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
If I carry on eating too many cake flavoured items, I might have to plan the full round! We discussed calorie burning at work once, as my colleague was running for about forty minutes on a treadmill, which burns less than the same as an hour's hillwalking, roughly. As I said to her, the big difference is that she can do forty minutes fairly easily in a day, whereas hillwalking involves a slightly different approach
Glad there isn't hideous news re the tests though. Good news for you too @Hostafan1.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@punkdoc is there not just a tiny bit of je ne sais quois to be relished from being a medical conundrum? Seriously tho’ hugs to both of you and hope you’re feeling a bit more like yourself very soon ... but please don’t overdo it!!!
At the beginning of December you could’ve had a double celebration @Hostafan1 🎈
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Evening all. Thinking of everyone who might be having a tough time.
A lovley thing happened today... my work team gave me a gorgeous Myrtle plant as a token of their love and thoughts at the time of the death of my father-in-law. How lucky am I to have a team like that. I’ve been reading-up and the plant has a history as being sacred, special and medicinal, symbolising love, harmony and joy too. It’s ripe for cuttings so I will do that tomorrow. I think I will go for a pot and keep in the shelter of the back porch. Any tips welcome.
You are right about Myrtle in wedding bouquets @WonkyWomble - I thought it was just a Royal family tradition but it is apparently an emblem of matrimony. The leaves and berries can be used to make drinks and liqueurs.
