Afternoon all,  Lovely day here, hope the sun is shining where you are.
@Fairygirl the strawberry plants are looking well
Managed to plant a few foxgloves this afternoon.  Had a bit of a melt down this morning but feeling better now.  I've been through all of moms things and also spent a while on the phone registering her death. Waiting to hear how my great nephew's op went, keeping my fingers crossed that all is well.

Here I am again after ploughing thru days - and pages - of posts trying to catch up with your news.   Sounds like an incredible tough time for you @Yviestevie so have some hugs.

No idea what that whole "deleted account" thing was about but a friend sent me this recently and it seems appropriate -

I have been in many places, but I've never been in Kahoots. Apparently, you can't go alone. You have to be in Kahoots with someone.
I've also never been in Cognito. I hear no one recognizes you there.
I have, however, been in Sane. They don't have an airport; you have to be driven there. I have made several trips there, thanks to friends, family and work.
I would like to go to Conclusions, but you have to jump, and I'm not too much on physical activity anymore.
I have also been in Doubt. That is a sad place to go, and I try not to visit there too often.
I've been in Flexible, but only when it was very important to stand firm.
Sometimes I'm in Capable, and I go there more often as I'm getting older.
One of my favourite places to be is in Suspense! It really gets the adrenalin flowing and pumps up the old heart! At my age I need all the stimuli I can get!
I may have been in Continent, but I don't remember what country I was in. It's an age thing.

My job is done! Life is too short for negative drama and petty things.
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive (no matter how long it may take)!
From one unstable person to another,
I hope everyone is happy in your head - we're all doing pretty well in mine!

Definitely applies to those of us who are 27 or even just 26.

I rather suspect a lot of it will apply to the younger folk in their teens and twenties too as we come to realise just how badly confinement has affected their psychies and their immediate and longer term prospects for "health, wealth and happiness".

Some wit in Belgium has suggested that politicians be the guinea pigs for Covid vaccine tests on the grounds that if it doesn't work the country will be better off...........

    That's really good @Obelixx :D
The 'deleteaccount' was someone who kept leaving and coming back under a new name, and then complaining and being offensive. Who knows why people do it. I certainly don't.
That's great @Yviestevie - glad they're doing fine for you. It's fine to have meltdowns. Hope you get good news re the op. You're certainly due something positive. x
Been lovely here too. I've finally finished the stupid lily pond edging thing, although it may need another touch up with the staining. Sick of the sight of it if I'm honest.
Had a nice chat with Dave the pigeon too. I think I may be losing the plot completely..... :D

    Good evening.

Cooler today but still pleasant with sunshine. Removed a wheelbarrow full of ivy which was strangling my Philadelphus. Found an old nest - tiny little mossy thing ?Robin.
The nights are drawing in now - I love Autumn but there is a pang of sadness about the early nights.

Hope you are all ok - particularly Yviestevie and anyone else having a difficult time.
    Liked the humorous prose Obelixx.

Don't start me on the  folk staring at phones @Biglad. I watched a woman walk towards me [with her dog on one of those endless leads ] and her face glued to a phone. I kept walking straight towards her to see when, or if, she would eventually notice anyone else was there. I got to about ten feet from her and had to jump onto the road. She only noticed because I did that. She did at least have the good grace to apologise.  :D
Not a teenager either. She was at least in her forties. Hopeless. I've found older people far worse than the youngsters though. Especially the dog walkers. They're among the worst.
It's the folk weaving around the M62 because the phone on their lap is more interesting than the road ahead that really boil my blood  :(

I love autumn @AuntyRach. When I was out the other day, there was no wind, and leaves were falling gently like snow   :)
It's terrifying what people do @Biglad:/

It's been quite a busy day, HW, washing, changing the sheets, sweeping up leaves on the terrace, 5 big barrowloads, OH helped. The lime tree is moulting. Removal man came, took a bit of time. He'll send the estimate by email. Went to Leclerc as well to pick up the winter duvets at the cleaners. Also took bags of rubbish to the village bins.

Meant to fill the car with petrol too as we are going to Son 1's for the weekend, 5 hour drive tomorrow. Forgot the petrol but it is 3/4 full anyway.

@Obelixx very good, made me laugh

Glad about the new chef @D0rdogne_Damsel, I don't suppose he's good looking and unattached as well?
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I hope the cat’s medicine was easier to swallow than our human stuff Jacqui.  🥵

We are very happy to have rain and it’s still falling. Not heavy, but the wet stuff is getting into the garden. 👏👏👏

we might go for a drive into town for something to do, but still thinking about it.
