for the so called ‘Bake-off’ at OHs workplace tomorrow. The idea is, apparently, that they’ll take turns in taking a cake to work ... except that they’ve asked me (not him) to bake the same cake that I made when his last manager left ... I smell a stitch up .. 🤣
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Possum loves that one too @Dovefromabove and also does it as cup cakes for student meetings. I prefer my chocolate carrot cake which is even more luscious...........

Ooh cake - choklit cake Sorry....morning all/afties @Pat E How did it become September so soon? I like a dampened cobweb. Couldn't eat a whole one... Just how big is the raised bed going to be @chicky ? Do we need to call the chaps that work here ? Enjoy your walk later.I'd better get out soon too. @Hostafan1 - amazing what folk do! I just hope the wee wifie next door gets her house gone. Third time lucky. She picked the wrong time to put it on the market - February this year. What a carry on she's had because of the situation. If only she'd had psychic powers.... We are supposedly having some sun just now. Aye right. Someone tell those clouds. It's breezy so maybe the washing will dry better today. Tomorrow is 'less than favourable' for any outdoor jobs.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
There will be multiple raised beds @Fairygirl ( 10 last time I saw the plan) so your chaps might come in very handy 🤣
I miss doing that wee hill. It's a grand one if you haven't been out for a while, but it's beside the problem bit of road at the Rest. I don't want to add to the problems - people need to get along the lower military road for work etc.

I've swept out the garage, it's like an open fronted barn and takes 3 cars and a load of junk, it was full of dead leaves. OH tried out the Karcher pressure washers, his works, mine seems to have lost some pressure, it should be the most powerful, and the one an elderly lady gave me when she went back to the UK is fairly feeble.
Then we went to Leclerc for the weekly shop.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Sounds like you're getting there @Busy-Lizzie, do you hope to hear from the solicitors soon? We spent a good few hours trimming a privet hedge. It's so long it's getting a bit beyond us now and I'd like to get rid of it, it's getting old and patchy. Just got to persuade OH! Just had a lovely chat with son who's just returned from France and who enjoyed their holiday. He doesn't mind being in quarantine now as they can both work from home.
Evening all. 😁 Had a lovely day off with Charlie, it was his 13th birthday yesterday and he's such a lovely boy. He's promised not to turn into a horrible teenager. 😅 I've even managed some gardening and bought some plants online, my gardener is coming on Thursday, it's funny, I've made an effort because he's coming. I've also hired a cleaner and spent two hours cleaning before she got here, think I'm doing something wrong. 🙄 It's gone a bit calmer at CdeG, thankfully, we've lost all our summer students so we needed to be a bit calmer. I've still got birthday cake orders coming in and my regular staff want holidays now, so less pressure but still work to be done. I like the sound of the Guinness cake recipe, might have to try that, the chocolate carrot cake recipe sounds good too. It's been a lot of ice creams over the summer, think cake will be popular again soon, need to have new offerings. Regards half term holiday, Charlie has decided he'd prefer to go up to the place where the Vendée Globe race starts from rather than Disney. Sounds good to me, he followed the race a few years ago and is still very interested, hopefully a bit cheaper than Disney too. Thank you @Jacquimcmahon for all the information, and others, maybe another time. Now looking on airb&b for suitable accommodation. Maybe @Obelixx a possibility of meeting up???? Hugs to all of you. 🤗 Hope everyone is doing ok. 🙂

Our garage is like that too @Busy-Lizzie but just for 2. No leaves yet but we do get a lot of birds nesting in the walls and under its eaves and searching for insects so the cars get a bit messy sometimes........
Possum and OH seem to have found a studio for her. Need to get contracts signed and keys now cos she has to be out of her current place by the 15th. He's coming home on Thursday regardless and I'll head up there next week for the last lap and then fetch her home for a couple of weeks in the sun, relaxing, building up her vitamin D and playing with the critters.
We have a single privet here @Lizzie27. Nice flowers but a bit smelly.
