The bloke who sells us âgoodâ firewood actually turned up yesterday (after weâd cut a load of our âsecond classâ firewood the day before.)đ. Â Typical. Weâd been waiting for a couple of weeks for him to turn up. Â Mind you, canât get too cranky. Heâs been busy sheep shearing around the district. Â Hard working your fella. đ
Now itâs Hubbyâs turn to stack it up.Â
Heâs a bit weary now. Having a nap in the bedroom before dinner time. Â It doesnât take much for his energy to disappear since the chemo. Â
I got digging in a garden bed to remove both Oregano and Garlic Chives that had taken over one of my garden beds during the last couple of years. (I left the fork in the garden, you can see it behind Hubby). After getting a chest Pain, I decided Iâd better stop. Nothing like a cuppa and a flop on the lounge to settle things down.  đ. I find this âgetting oldâ stuff very  irritating.
Thanks Dove. Â We love it too. Still no clouds today. Weird. Â Â
We are very glad that we decided to retire here instead of staying in Melbourne where Hubby had his last job. No worries about neighbours hanging over the fence. Â We had actually tossed up between returning here or staying in Melbourne. Talk about lucky.Â
Morning all/afties Pat. Hubby deserves his rest I reckon! Hope you're alright though. Don't do more than you need to - either of you. There was a girl on the radio t'other day who sheared a sheep for the item they were doing about the problem of low prices for wool. It was almost as good as ventriloquists on the radio back in the day Glad you're getting some wet stuff @tuikowhai34. We often talk about a Simpsons sky here Music is the great 'uniter' @AuntyRach. The circumstances might determine the choices, but it's so powerful. Hope you're ok. I can never listen to #Man of the World without crying @Dovefromabove. That was his cry for help. A 'better than Simpsons sky' here just now. I think we deserve it though. The ground might dry out a wee bit now. Chilly last night as forecast [6 degrees] but it's moving up, and the sun is out. Parts of Scotland were getting their first frost as it was dipping to three and below.Â
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good decision @Pat E . We like having space too with people around but not on top of us. Gorgeous view you have there.
Sunny and clear here after a few showers overnight.  Twiddly bits to do in Possum's bedroom today and then maybe some weeding or some sewing or even some ordinary h*work.  Needs must.
Your flower choices are lovely @AuntyRach .  I love white flowers in any situation.
Hope everyone gets some decent weather today and can have some fun.
Morning Fairy.  Donât worry. I give up very quickly when I feel Iâm  over the exercise.  Iâm gradually getting garden beds ready for a bonza growing summer this year after having a break last year.  đ
You snuck in there @Fairygirl.  Much too early in the year to be getting that cold!!
Good to know when to stop @Pat E and good to have plans for the growing season too.  I have a few myself but haven't told OH yet cos he's already got a huge bed to dig out for my new trees, shrubs and perennials border so won't be wanting to think about the new veg and cut flower beds I need.
Good morning all. It's looking promising for a decent , dry day. Hurrah. The grass is like marsh with standing water. No idea how long before I'll be able to take the mower onto it, let alone cut it. ggrrr
